I just think our top 10 defense is the x factor. Ohio will have only faced 1 other Defense that was any good and that was MSU and they didn't fare too well against them. OSU thrives off the big play cause they can't consistently drive the ball the length of the field due to Braxton's inconsistency throwing.

I don't have much faith in Denard running the offense in big games. In the three losses it was either turnovers or little production. Without a passing threat teams just sta ck the box and we have little success running or passing. Denard plays scared as witnessed against bama, MSU, and Nebraska. He struggles to complete anything beyond ten yards. The OSU defense is like Nebraska's. They still have talent and stacking the box will stop us. The Nebraska defense that gave up sixty to Ohio shut Denard down in the first half before the injury. The Michigan offense is easy to solve with a rb playing qb. Braxton Miller is a bigger threat because he can pass downfield. Devin Gardner is the answer against the buckeyes. He avoids pressure and finds open guys down the field. Denard gets pressure then throws the jumpball into triple coverage. I appreciate Denard but don't think we should risk losing to the buckeyes. Before Devin we went two games no td.

The big, physical receiver presence that Hemingway gave us last year is missing. With Hemingway Michigan came down with the jumballs. It won't work with dileo. If the Nebraska d can solve Denard the Ohio d will. With six points at halftime and zero touchdowns the Nebraska d solved it. At the line of scrimmage we are outnumbered. Lewan can only block one of 11.

Losing Hemingway hurt, but that doesn't entirely explain why Denard's passing has been so bad this year. Against Nebraska last year, who we beat 45-17, Hemingway caught two passes for 34 yards. Against OSU, who we beat 40-34, he caught two passes for 45 yards. Denard has just not thrown well this year. Some of his interceptions have been inexplicably thrown directly into the hands of defenders (Bama, AF, UMass, ND). I really think the elbow nerve issue has been affecting him all year. Maybe resting Denard will allow his elbow to heal up fully for the OSU game. Maybe it won't. But if he can't go, we are not better off. We will have to make due and rely even moreso on our defense. But we are not better off.

Umm, Braxton is completing 53% against Big Ten competition 7tds and 4 ints.
Denard is completing 52% against Big Ten competition with 3 tds and 1int.
I wouldnt say Braxton is a bigger threat. Also Denard avgs 1 yard more per carry than Braxton.

They put up 34 last year on us and we were not as good of a defense at that time as we are now. I honestly don't see them scoring more than 21 pts, and if we can't score that many pts with Denard on that Defense then we don't deserve to win. I like our chances a lot in that game especially if the game is Ice Cold temperatures.

Carlos Hyde? Oh you mean the guy who gets all his yards in garbage time? Don't even act like Hyde is a threat. He's a threat on the 2 yd line, but nowhere else. Braxton will get his yards and big plays. Carlos Hyde will be completely shut down like everyone else in the Big 10 has been save Nebraska in the 4th quarter. Y'all talk like you have these great players, you have narrowly escaped defeat on several occasions this season. So don't pretend like your 10-0 team is actually dominant. You got one player and no defense, and we have one player and a top 10 defense....I'll take those odds everyday. It'll be just like last year but not as high of a score.
