Pretty sad that a guy that was always committed to OSU has to be considered a win for you guys...man, you guys have dropped really far really fast.

Notice how in all the names you have listed, not one was a win against Hoke.

Pretty sure Hoke had his hooks into Dunn....before Meyer put the tractor beam on him.

That is fine...as long as you accept Kalis and Bolden sticking to UM after Urban tried to call them as Losses for Urban. You can't have it both ways.

Not the same thing, really. By all accounts (especially on this board) Dunn was all set to switch to Michigan--then Urban came in and put a stop to it after he was hired. With the two you mentioned, once Urban was hired they weren't leaning to OSU, they were solid on Michigan. So, in the case of Dunn, Meyer pulled him to our side. In the case of Kalis and Bolden, they just stayed where they were.

Pretty sure that Saban and Miles would've handed Meyer his ass in 2011 if he had remained as Head Coach of Florida. Again.

Really? You have that link to Dunn's decommit from tosu before Meyer put the "tractor beam" on him?

Do you realize that tosu is 6-8 the last 2 years? Tosu has had a losing season 2 years in a row now. thumbsup

The non sequitur response of someone losing an argument.

It was in response to your comment about how far and fast osu has fallen. Which was a gem by the way! Same with this one, yet you still haven't provided anything to the argument. Nice try tho Neo. I'll wait.....

  • Just my opinion, but I think it's up to PSU or Michigan.

Reeves has more familiarity with both staffs, while OSU just jumped into the picture a few days ago.

OSU has fallen if you guys have to make it out as a victory to retain your own committed prospects. There is no other argument that needs to be made. Game, set, and match.

And your response was still a non sequitur.

Calling and asking is one thing. Using recruiting dollars to fly or drive to the players house for in-home visits, paying for the player to take official visits is another. The difference between Dunn and Kalis/ Bolden is all Urb did was give them a phone call and see where their minds were. They were obviously not going anywhere and Urb left it at that and moved on. Hoke and Co worked HARD on Dunn to switch. I can bet Michigan spent 100x the money recruiting Dunn then Urbie and Ohio State spent calling Kalis and Bolden. Huge difference here.

Umm I am pretty sure Hoke and the University of Michigan did not pay for Dunn to take an official visit. How is that you ask? Mr. Dunn did not take an official visit to Michigan. He visited OSU confirmed his commitment and cancelled his official to Michigan. He did however take a couple unofficials to Michigan that he paid for himself. Next time please provide correct information in your attempts at insult. headslap

The 247 player timeline for Dunn is incorrect see the link below if you would like to know all of Michigan's recruiting visits.

You guys were the one's making it a big deal that Dunn is not a win for Urban over Hoke.

Dude, you would make a terrible lawyer!

Comments like "Oh how far OSU has fallen when they are making a big deal about retaining our own committed prospect" -- I was responding to comments on this board about how it would be considered a Win by the amount of time and effort Michigan put in to recruiting Dunn.

And "The non sequitur response of someone losing an argument"-- typical response when you have nothing intelligent to provide to the argument.

I don't even care who "wins" or "loses" this argument. I just think it is hilarious how you have provided NOTHING to this argument but claim I "lost"...hahaha

You're right... I forgot that he took 2 unofficial visits to Michigan. But still, the time to recruit him on those unofficial visits verses trying to recruit other prospects was lost.

First of all, I take it as a compliment to say I would make a terrible lawyer.

Second, IT WAS A NON SEQUITUR. Talking about something that nothing to do with either Dunn, Hoke, or recruiting? That is a non sequitur.

What is really hilarious is that when the situation was reversed with Kalis, Bolden, and potentially others, most Buckeye fans wrote it off as nothing. I actually think it was nothing. It is buckeye fans that are saying that Dunn was a win for them...and that is what I think is so pathetic.

Kalis is considered a win...never said it wasn't. Bolden on the other hand never had an osu offer and i'm not sure why.
