Way too far down the road to predict more than the next two in my opinion. There's no way of telling how the current freshmen and sophomores and next year's freshmen will develop. But if you want my answer for the next two, I'll go us in '13, you in '14.

I'll agree with Fursty. Beyond that, it's a complete crapshoot.

That's what my post was about . I think the success of that team will come down to whether or not Gardner will be granted his medical redshirt. If not, the options are Bellomy (yikes), Morris (needs work+experience), or whichever 2014 QB we pick up, who would be a true freshman.

Every game will be close to a coin flip for the foreseeable future. Just like it was last year and this year.

The only problem for OSU in 14 is are oline. We will loose 4 out of 5 starting lineman. The defense has a chance to be really really good by 14 but I just hope BM continues to progress. Man if Gardner gets injured next year it could get really ugly. Why didnt Hoke and company put Gardner in at QB vs Nebraska ? Bellomy = Bauserman.

Gardner getting hurt next year would be worse than Burke getting hurt for our basketball squad. If Gardner goes down with a serious injury, our season will be a complete wash. Only thing that could salvage the season is if a RB steps up huge and our O-line turns out to be dominant.

Edit: fursty answered it, but Gardner was not taking snaps at QB in practice. This was a result of our coaches wanting to get the best athletes on the field and not forcing him to split snaps at different positions. It was also a result of Bellomy looking very good in practice all year. I heard positive things from a number of people. Coaches plan all along was if Denard went down in a game, Bellomy would close it out, and Gardner would start the next week. That's exactly how it played out.
