    1. Denard.... You live by Denard, you die by Denard. Pretty putrid performance by him 2. Offense moved the ball well, just turnovers really killed quite a few drives. 3. Nice to see Fitz get some yards in the second half. 4. Defense played well. I feel much better about the D after tonight than in previous weeks. 5. B1G championship is still up for grabs

    Anything else?

I feel better about the offensive line as well. In the second half we ran the ball prett ywell.

Frank Clark seemed absent as well tonight. The only people making plays are Jake Ryan and Kovacs.

    Thomas Gordon played well tonight

He made a couple of big tackles, too.

Not sure what you're saying with #4, but Taylor is a sophomore.

I'm saying that Taylor is probably the biggest liability out there, but I'm not counting him because he's being forced into the lineup by injury, offseason transfers, etc. Other than Taylor, the seniors are weighing this team down.

I would have to watch again to see if he was supposed to provide support for Eifert's catch, but I don't want to watch again so I'll just wait for Brian's UFR.

Ohh right, I thought you were saying that he's the only good senior and I was confused.

    Looked like single safety.

  • Look at Borges's career though. The only time he's been great is when he had JCamp, RBrown, and company.

  • It's funny, last year I thought ND was the better team and Michigan just got really lucky, and this year I think we were the better team and played like ass, mainly due to Denard's turnovers. Of all the years to lose to ND I wouldn't have thought it would be this year and in that fashion. That said, ND is very good, although I still don't think they'll be able to contend well with top 10 teams because of their meh offense, but we'll see.

It sucks because this year I was hoping this shitty passing from Denard would be less of an issue and was hoping to feel confident with beating State/OSU. I remember last year I thought we had a decent shot against State but Denard couldn't throw for shit during that game either (although it wasn't just Denard who lost it). Obviously This team has the potential to be great but if it continues this dumbfuckery they'll have to settle for mediocrity.

  • No way Michigan is the better team. If you stop our run game, and make Denard throw, teams will take their chance. That's what ND did. To say we are betterm when ND halted out running game is laughable.

It was the turnovers. Our D stopped their offense even more than what their D did to the Michigan O. If it wasn't for the turnovers Michigan wins this game easily. I think Michigan is the better team.

  • It sounds like Denard is taking this loss pretty hard. Harder than any other loss they have had.

  • There were two really good drives Michigan had which could have resulted in a touchdown and almost certainly field goals that got shut down because of turnovers. But yeah, you have a good point, we definitely lack offensive depth and when Denard is stopped we're pretty much screwed.

Yes, the TO's caused by stopping the run, and making Denard throw.

He has to feel this one is on him.

We still had 161 yards rushing. Denard just has to protect the ball better. He has done it in other games(OSU and Nebraska last year). He is capable.

And we had 41 rushing attempts. Against any decent defense you are going to need to make some plays in the passing game to score. Tonight Denard didn't do that and turned it over instead.

We obviously feel different about how Denard performs against a good defense....Hope you are having a good night, sir.

  • It's a very disappointing game. It's hard to believe when you see a 3 year starter senior QB play like a true freshman. These types of mistakes should not have been displayed by a player with such experience.

3 years have passed, and Denard still plays like when he first played the game.

    For this, I'm very disappointed.

  • IMO, this was the worst performance from a QB since Vinny Testaverde's threw 5 interceptions in the 1987 Fiesta Bowl which cost Miami the 1986 National Championship and gave Penn State its second MNC.

  • Michigan lost this game....it wasnt Notre Dames defense, it was the decision making of one individual. Poor decisions time after time allow someone to be responsible for 5-6 turnovers. I'm sick of hearing about ND's front 7. They played good, but its a giant leap to say THEY were responsible for 6 turnovers. This is when experience comes in by throwing balls away, throwing balls accurate, audible to higher probability passing routes to negate the pressure, roll out of the pocket more for run and pass options, and only throw it if its 100% it wont get intercepted, or pull the ball down and scramble for 5 yards every time....not that complicated. And Al Borges keeps trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. You have to give Denard more west coast passing options, crossing routes and outs within 10 yards to mitigate interceptions

  • Denard needs a hug...from Shane Morris! Love the kid and what he stands for, but can not wait till his career is over. Sure, I will dazzle at some more of what he does this years, but holding my breath literally every passing play has gotten old. His best play tonight was taking the frickin sack, though he should have thrown it away. Ironically he passed Chad Henne tonight in total yardage. Chad Henne wins that game tonight, no question in my mind
