Possibly another commit soon

    This would lead me to believe .... Poggi. However, OSU fans are not going to get bent up by Poggi. Thus, someone (OSU insider or UM insiders) is out of synch on this commit.

    At this point .... I would love to see Green this early ... but I suspect this is Poggi, which I am perfectly fine with .... Poggi is great ... and adds a top-50ish talent to the team. Green hopefully drops at a later date .....

  • Really surprised by all the speculation regarding Green. He has only been on campus one time and most of the coaches weren't there (at least Hoke wasn't there). He's been talking to commits via Twitter and txt, but that doesn't seem like enough to push a kid over the edge to commit. We have no hot prospects and Green just got tabbed a 5* on some sites, so his stock is going up as is the interest he's getting from more schools. Timing just doesn't make sense to me that we should think it's him.

    Poggi would be my guess with Treadwell a distant second.

    Yeah I really do not know why people think Green is a realistic possibility. EVERYTHING is pointing to Poggi.

    Every one of the guys mentioned (Poggi, Treadwell, Green) has realistic reasons why it could be and could not be him.

    Yeah, the more I research the more, I don't think its Green, but idk. I don't think he's narrowed it down, plus before this week I don't think you guys were heavily in the conversation.

    2- Scout is basically flat out saying Poggi should commit to Michigan soon.

    3- On Green, there has been no indication, in public or private, that Michigan is even in his top 2 yet.

    Ok I'm betting on Green:

    1) his selection priorities would favor Mich (eg pro offense)
    2) recent twitter chat with the team (nothing specific)
    3) the OSU blog comment (he's highest on their board)
    4) he's been closest with Tremendous (who made the 48 hour tweet)

    The only reason not to say green is you'd expect another visit first.

    Treadwell is in no hurry because he has a spot
    Poggi would seem ready and pressured to announce but he doesn't fit with 2, 3 and 4 above. So he is 50/50 (I know that a jinx).

    Above was why it was Green 3 hours ago. Added to that was Wilkens visit next Sat., and the info on Poggi not announcing until later.

    Also, Green was really high on Michigan after his visit but cooled because of all the fan love for Isaac. Isaac is off the board.

    Fair enough. But, why would the OSU insider say OSU fans would be upset by this commitment? OSU has been off Poggi for some time I thought. Why would OSU fans care, which they do not based on the few comments by them over here?

    1. True and one of the things that does point towards Poggi, but that doesn't mean that the others couldn't decide soon.

    2. They have been wrong before. Not too long ago, everyone was assuming Poggi was going to Bama. Poggi also seems to be the quietest of the three in terms of revealing any info.

    3. True, and one of the things that point towards it not being him, but that alone doesn't eliminate him. Plenty of guys commit without naming a top 2. We are among Green's top group.

    Poggi doesn't make sense in that it's going to upset OSU fans. I would think Treadwell over Poggi from that. But i am just guessing like everyone else.

    I thought so too. But asked on this board, and received comments that he would damage his rep if he was misleading, over-emphasizing, etc.

    None of this makes sense. When you think this hard, the answer is the most obvious - Poggi.
