Possible LB Coach

  • I've heard that Tenn is willing to offer a salary upwards of 300 thousand for the next RB coach .. It's not really clear that manning is a possibility for Tenn but Jones knows him , Likes him and he wouldn't have trouble meshing with the staff

Fore some reason i feel if Freddy retires Mike H will get that nod

I like mike Hart but I'd like to see him move up the career ladder before i'm confortable with taking him. I know it's EMU but their RBs haven't been stellar.

We need to offer 350K then. There's no reason why Michigan should be cheap in anything it does ever. Bama and LSU have less profitable Athletic departments and they spend a crap load and it gets them NCs.

That's not going to happen and nor should it . that is reckless spending and then you have to take care of the other 5 assistants ( the 2 coordinators are paid handsomely ) .. I'm not saying Michigan should raise it's budget for coaches but do it accross the board adding another 4 to 5 hundred thousand to the pot would keep all very happy . I think Manning would be a great hire but i was hoping for him on the offensive side where he has the most experience

David Baas. Super Bowl Champion. Stevie Brown. Interception machine.

    Brady 6

  • Like i said he isn't going to authorize 350 thousand for a assistant coach that is real jump from the 200 thousand JM was making before he left for Oklahoma

That's the whole reason we weren't competitive during the past decade. If you don't shell out for assistants you won't win NCs.

I have to imagine Freddie Jack is gonna retire when Jeremy graduates, or a short time after.

Maybe he'll have interest coming back to Michigan for RB coach because there is no way Doug Marrone will last more than a couple years at Buffalo.

The NFL experience Wheatley is getting right now is going to be awesome when hes a coach and recruiting for Michigan toot

Cannot find out much about his prowess as a recruiter, other than to say he was the recruiter this year who landed the highest ranked recruit for NIU 3 Star CB Aregeros Turner who had several D1 offers including Illinois, Kentucky, Purdue, Tennessee, and Washington.

    His coaching experience:

2013 - Northern Illinois University, Assistant Coach (Running Backs) 2012 - University of Cincinnati, Assistant Coach (Running Backs) 2011 - University of Michigan, Graduate Assistant (Offensive Line) 2010 - University of Cincinnati, Defensive Assistant

    NIU over Tennessee? huh

I should have posted it here instead:

What about Dhani? Wonder if he has any interest in coaching.

Recruiting Pitch: "come play for me at Michigan. you can play in the NFL for 11yrs & then get your own TV show, playing sports all around the world"

He has his bow tie thing going on. Im not sure he has the time or even wants to coach.

  • Im just gonna continue to spit out random names, not knowing if they have any interest in coaching what-so-ever.

    What about Larry Foote?

Gotta think his NFL career is over at this point (could be wrong) & He's from Detroit.

I wouldn't be opposed to Foote. Perfect example of a Michigan kid who went and starred at the highest levels. I feel like RichRod really missed a golden opportunity to recruit LB talent in kids who were watching Foote and Woodley just cause havoc with Pittsburgh's D.

  • I think Roy Manning will be better than Montgomery on the recruiting trail. We'll have to wait until the fall to see his coaching ability.
