I saw a rumor (no idea if true) that his dad seems to favor Bama.

Yeah I am a bit skeptical. If he is planning another visit to Alabama days after his last one, obviously that is where he is most likely going.

An interview with his dad that was posted on 247 yesterday mentioned nothing about more visits. It definitely made it sound like his dad really liked Bama, but he was talking to a Bama reporter, so who knows how much to read into it.

There were a lot of players Michigan bound, but chose other colleges because of RR. Anthony Zettel, Kris Frost, Dee Hart, Sammy Watkins, and that OL that went to Oregon were all kids that would have chose Michigan had RR not done terrible his last season. Hart is an odd case though, he committed to RR but didn't really know the new coaching staff/didn't want to have to worry about a coaching change during his career so he chose to go Bama.

I don't think we ever had Sammy Watkins....he feigned interest but more so cuz his BF Dallas Crawford was in love with Michigan. He went to Miami

I think Sam Webb on WTKA has said a couple times in the past that Watkins was a silent commit at one point.
But I agree with you, he was mainly interested because of Dallas Crawford, who was only holding out for a Miami offer. Neither would've been in the class, IMO, even if RR had stayed. Same with Dee who wasn't going to head that far away from Florida, especially with Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix pushing Bama and Saban "donating" a new practice field to Dr. Phillips.
