I don't think it is fair to boot them from the B1G because of all the people not involved that would get punished as a result of that. That being said, anyone that knew of this has to be gone from the university for it to try and regain any semblance of integrity. And I agree with what someone else said that Joe Pa should have reported it to the police if the AD wasn't going to do anything. Sitting idly by while knowing what went on is just as bad.

No it wouldn't. Not at all.
There's no need to punish the new staff and the players for something that a few sick individuals did. Yeah, it's awful and everyone involved should be fired and probably do some jail time, but it would be overkill to kick them out. Almost 0% chance that happens IMO.

I am listening to Michigan grad Art Regner on Detroit Sports Talk WDFN 1130AM right now absolutely ripping penn state. He is saying the B1G should be proactive and kick penn state out of the B1G. And ya know what? I think he is right honestly. Any institution that knows of abusing children like that, and doesn't report that and this doesn't come out in over ten years: does not DESERVE to be in the B1G.
I would refuse to schedule penn state if I were Dave Brandon, if they stay in the conference or not. Protest them being in the league. Paterno's legacy is tarnished forever. The program is tarnished forever. This is horrific and disturbing on so many levels the more I think about it.
It's one thing to play with ineligible players, paying players or taking money. But when someone is abusing children like that. They deserve to be removed from the B1G.
