I love it when you guys talk about Michigan recruiting Ohio players. I think it says more about OSU's failure to keep a fence around their state than it does anything else.

I'm not sure why it matters where our Heisman winners come from as long as they're winning Heismans for Michigan. Isn't that more of an indictment of OSU that they couldn't keep these guys in-state?

That should tell you all you need to know about Meyer... he gave them everything result wise and they still don't like him.

I meant that as a genuine question btw, I'm not trying to pick a fight or stir the pot in anyway. I can understand that a lot of Florida fans might feel that Meyer was insincere in the way he left ("health issues"), or even that he bred a program that was thug-heavy (though I recently read an article that argued that SEC arrest rates are incredibly high in general, not just at Florida during and immediately following Meyer's tenure). But what I see from many Florida fans is absolute hatred for a guy who won 2 Nat'l Titles for a program that had only won 1 previously. To me it doesn't really compute. I dislike Tressel (I wouldn't even say hate), and that's a guy who only won 1 Nat'l title, had average often embarrassing moments on the national stage, and was at the forefront of the most disgraceful period in OSU history. Let alone a guy who left after winning 2 Nat'l Titles and did very little damage to the program long-term.

The reason I asked is because I feel like I must be ignorant of something that happened during and immediately followed his reign that pissed off the majority of Gator fans. For example, Mike Bianchi (Orlanda Sentinel writer) absolutely hates Meyer, and I still can't completely understand why.

Wasn't just OSU fans though, it was one of your own staff writers leading the charge (even made false accusations against one of the Florida staff writers that was hilariously refuted).
