Ohio Predictions

  • Michigan pulls out a tight one as UofM D goes bend but don't break most of the game and forces a few FG's at crucial times. Gibbons nails a game winning field goal late (brunette girls) and Michigan wins 27-26

Based on opinion Willy. Provide some facts besides he's a "Michigan man" and we'll talk. You guys think you have the best coaching staff around (as does everyone) but I rarely see and evidence to go with it besides an 11-2 season with a weak schedule comparable to ours.

Just juxtapose the defensive stats of the 2010 year and 2011 year, then get back to me...thanks

One side of the ball? That's not the whole story either. And the defensive stats of who? You guys? And of course they're going to get better because they had no where to go but up. Mattison is a good defensive coach.

  • 28-17 Um. Braxton is knocked out of the game in the first half as the UM defense loads the box. UM is the more balanced team and plays much more sound defense. I view Gardner and Miller to be comparable. The wildcard here will be that the Bucks have nothing to offset Denard as the running back or receiver. That factor alone will account for the points needed to win.

  • Ohio 114...Michigan 0. Urban is going to suit up and play both middle linebacker and tailback. He is God you know. Yes I know it is against the rules but Ohio don't give a damn about no stinkin rules.moon

Looking at your schedule this year. . . .I don't think there are to many less intimidating schedules. What was your toughest no non conference game? Central Florida, or Cal who I don't think has one conference win lol

  • Last year? Directional Michigans, San Diego State, and an 8-5 ND. So frightening.

  • This game can go either way. I feel a lot like I did going into the MSU game in that I really have no idea what to expect. It could look like Wiscy/Ohio - UM/MSU or Ohio/UM last season. Have to give the edge to them being at home.

Stopping Hyde on that delay counter where Miller can give it to him up the gut or keep and bounce outside is going to be huge for our D. Miller is enough to worry about and we need to take away the robin to his batman.

Ohio's D is talented but undisciplined. So they could play great or get exposed. To the Ohio poster expecting sacks similar to the Wiscy game... Dlinemen upfield and not playing contain in their lanes is a recipe to get gashed by Devin and Denard running. Slip a screen pass to Denard behind the backs of the pass rush and watch Ohio not try it again.

Our offense is so unpredictable for this game because its going to be something we have never seen. I still have visions of our D against NW in my head. Tough to feel confident on that side of the ball just because Wiscy played them tough. Ohio went vanilla because they were on the road and the crowd noise. Urb's will go balls to the wall on saturday.

Our D needs to make timely stops and our O must possess the football. UM needs to win TOP and field possession. Don't give up big plays on kickoffs!!!

I think if its close Ohio wins. They have the luck factor going for them this year and they are at home. I am predicting we pull away in the second half similar to last year. UM 34 - Ohio 24.

2 more quick points. Our D has to make Miller pay when he runs the option. No hesitation. Smash him. Ohio's back 7 is going to be tested to stay disciplined covering our receivers knowing Devin is a threat to tuck and run.

But the difference between us and you is....we beat up on the teams we should have last year in our OOC. You get shredded by Miami OH, Cal, and UAB

Mattison and Borges are better than whoever the hell Urban hired at OSU.

Well even if you don't agree on Borges I will take the better defensive coach every time.

You've lost .....ummmm 3? Close wins trump loses. Weird thing is we're undefeated and feeling no pressure, kind of a nothing to lose but make your rival play in the Dominoes bowl kind of game.

Good synopsis. I could see many outcomes also. I do not think I will be surprised with any way this game plays out. Both teams have seen so many ups and downs this year. Which OSU shows up and which Michigan shows up. Could see both offenses playing solid and both defenses having their best games of the year.

Bottom line, I expect both coaching staffs, and no doubt their are strengths on both, to have their teams prepared. The most true statement about this game may end up being Kalis's "there will be blood shed." Social media has taken this rivalry, amongst others, to a higher level of exposure to fans than ever, and it has lingered to the motivation of the players to show up and play.

My hope for the outcome is to see a kick ass game of back and forth with high scoring, including defense and ST points, and that we Buckeyes are right in that Urban coaches a better game than his younger, less experienced counterpart.

    Go Bucks..

    Cheers to a good game

If any of you are there, enjoy the Shoe.

so 56-10 over Miami of Oh is getting shredded??

I believe our wins over UAB and Cal were about on par with yours over Air Force...

    And what about Nebraska?

A high school qb played 2 1/2 quarters, and threw as many picks as he did completions.

How about Indiana or purdue? Those games were quite exciting huh?

Yep, they were, but the result was........wait for it........wins.

If DG is so much better than BM, how in the world would your coaching staff not know this and put him in against Nebraska (that Braxton put 63 on the board) instead of the "high school QB"?

Fickell's young it's his first year. It's Vrabels first year. It's tough to tell how they'll turn out but it's Mattison no doubt.
