Gardner does provide a running game. He's elusive and breaks tackles.

I agree with that, but however this isnt just Gardner. Where have the receivers been this whole year? I just think for rest of year Denard is the guy, its who the guys have been running with. I think Gardner definetly just said I should be number one depth chart at QB for next year.

Yup, I'm more than willing to admit I was wrong about Bellomy. I was completely unaware of his deficient arm strength.

It will be interesting to see, I just would rather go in the stretch run for experience and one of the more dynamic players in the nation than Devin. At least if Denard isn't healthy to go next week, we know the team wont completely fall apart like it did in Lincoln

in the spring game all he was throwing was checkdowns. I always argued against Bellomy as a future starter, DG has shown me something this game though. Then again when DG got pt last year against MSU it was obvious he was a better option for a downfield passing game, just wasn't sold on him being consistent enough.

Based on a game against Minnesota? Denard made the offense look like a world beater against Purdue and Illinois as well. Think all those practice sessions speak otherwise to the coaches. However in end I'm pulling for whoever is wearing winged helmet and that Sparty can get a W today and keep B1G dream alive

Denard was still largely one dimensional against those teams, Devin has shown to be successful in both the passing and running game.

DR hasn't looked like an efficient passer against any team this season. I'd take my chances with a guy that can complete passes consistently.
