How much interest does Doyle have in us? If you want him Frank, I'd take him too. I trust your evaluating skills. Haha

I believe things have slowed down with Doyle's recruitment because of a stress fracture in his foot. He hasn't played since mid December.

Also, Doyle wasn't planning on getting real serious with the process until after his basketball season ends. That is when he could start taking visits and Coach B doesn't offer unless a kid visits.

This is just something i read and i don't know how accurate it is but I heard Notre Dame could be tough to beat for Doyle if they want him.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

But I really don't know where our coaches stand with Doyle.

UMHoops.com mentioned that our coaches are interested in him and that he's interested in us (partly because many of his family members are Michigan fans).

Florida seems to be showing interest in him especially after he attended one of Donovan's summer camps.

Sircharles, here's a video of Doyle.

Kids got really nice touch with the left.

  • I held off on posting this but might as well do it now...Duke has now entered the Devin Booker sweepstakes.

This is both good and bad. It's good because it just confirms that Booker is a high level prospect (since Duke has a long history of great SGs) but the bad is that Duke has huge appeal.

Booker is seemingly Coach Beilein's top priority for the 2014 class. And for good reason. Booker reminds me of Brad Beal (who was from St. Louis, was one-and-done at Florida, was drafted in the lottery, and is the current starting SG for the Washington Wizards).

I think it's clear we need to start recruiting real big men. Im tired of Morgan and Horford being pushed around

We definitely need to upgrade our recruiting in that area.

Our offense is the best suited to shooting guards of anyone in the country. (see Nik Stauskus and Tim Hardaway JR) This is Beilein's bread and butter.

Wow, Villanova is killing it lately. First they beat Louisville, and now Syracuse.

  • Fantastic finish w/ 'Nova beating Syracuse. Duke lost convincingly this week and Louisville lost once already this week. We could get a little separation until our brutal upcoming stretch.

  • Wow, holy smokes... Just thought of this.. Michigan @ Indiana could potentially be a basketball "game of the century"

If we beat Illinois tomorrow, we're #1.

    #4 Syracuse went down
    #5 Louisville went down
    #6 Arizona went down
    Indiana is #7.

If Oklahoma beats #3 Kansas (which is unlikely, fwiw) then Indiana could shoot up all the way to #2.

Yeah, they are. It's been odd to see so few ranked BE teams this year. Maybe Villanova has finally found its footing.

  • Louisville is struggling with Georgetown. 43-39 GTown w/ about 9 to play.

I could definitely see Kansas losing. They have been close with Texas and Iowa State.

I have a feeling we roll the Illini tonight. Our team will not squander their second chance to be #1.

We need to come out strong on defense and not give them any clean looks from the 3 point line. Make them put the ball on the floor and go inside. The only way they beat us is if they get hot from outside and we shouldn't even give them the chance. We are more athletic inside, we rebound and run the floor better, and we have more overall depth.

    MrWoodson

  • Sparty is much better than I originally thought. Their lack of depth likely hurts them at the end of the year and in the tourney, but they have some talent in that top-6.

I also think odds are very high that when we play them, Payne will end up punching McGary.

They are much better than I thought too but they still only a top 10-20 type team.
