Tough to say in baseball, as there's no salary cap. I don't necessarily think he's worth THAT much, as he's struggled in the clutch at times, but if ownership is willing to pay Votto, the assumption is that they'll pay for others as well. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Tigers.
The 1984 Tigers are my first sports memories.
Trammel is my favorite player of all time.
One of my fondest memories growing up is listening to Cecil Fielder make his run towards 50 over the radio everyday. I loved that Homerun/Strikeout lineup of Fielder/Tettleton/Deer. Tettleton's stance is one of my favorite of all time.
We had our rough stretch, how did we win the last 2 games to save face that year?
Velander is my favorite current Tiger. Granderson was my favorite everyday player until he was traded to the damn Yankees...

Cubbies fan in Reds country...I'm shocked that I'm the first Cubs fan after 20+ posts. The Tigers do hold a special place in my heart as my two older brothers are die hard Detroit fans. I just wish they would have preserved Tiger Stadium. Going to see the Tiggers play in Cincy and I think in Arlington @ the Rangers.

I am a huge Braves fan.
Being from LA I also root for the Dodgers.
Then since I came to U of M I started rooting for the Tigers as well.
However if any of those 3 play each other I am rooting Braves all the way.
