OT: Manti Te'o's girlfriend's death a hoax?

    I felt like this article was going to be a load of BS, but that's effed up that Manti went to the extent he did with this. Props to Deadspin for getting all this information, though.

    Looks as if this was pretty thoroughly researched by Deadspin.com (which one would assume it had to have been for them to post it).

  • It’s sad that it has to be a site like Deadspin, to report something like this. ESPN, SI, NBC etc. just kept reporting this propaganda over and over, without checking the facts.

    Jarvis Jones need’s to get those awards back. At least he didn’t take the Heisman away from JFB.

    That's the thing - Deadspin had to have been really, really sure about this to publish it, because if they're wrong, they'll get crucified.

    I'm inclined to believe it, and I bet a lot of NFL execs will believe it too.

  • Te'o should enter the Tour de France...he's appears to having the lying part down. Now it is only a matter of the proper juice intake. If true it means he has to go to the Raiders or the Bengals...day 2 of the draft.

  • Has anyone seen that show catfish? Maybe Teo was in an online relationship with someone and they werent rly who they claimed to be? ( maybe a fake profile type thing ) Idk, just a thought. No matter what the reason, it will b very embarassing for him if his "girlfriend" never really died.

    my first thought as well, but Teo is quoted as saying the met "in person" after the stanford game in 2009. That pokes a pretty big hole in that story. The whole thing is nuts.

    Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.
