  • Denver seems to be clicking on all cylinders right now, but it's tough to bet against Kobe at home. Who do you all think wins tonight?

    I could definitely see that happening. On the flipside, he could also suck the air out of the building with some bone-headed plays, as he's been prone to do from time to time, especially if he starts pressing due to his long layoff.

    very true will be interesting to see how he plays. The lakers really need Bynum and Gasol to show up theres no reason for them not to be dominating denvers big guys.

    Completely agree with you. I'd be surprised if Kobe doesn't play well, but that may not be enough to win if Bynum and Gasol don't play well. I think those two are the key to who pulls this game out.

    I think the Lakers pull this one out, but lose to the Thunder in 5 or 6. If they're having trouble with Denver's ability to go inside out, their bigs are going to really struggle against OKC.

  • Normally, I'd call Lakers lock to close this out at home in Game 7. But I think the Nuggets pull a shocker tonight. They are playing with extreme confidence, and have completely dominated these last 2 games. Generally the Lakers bigs are the 2 longest guys on the court, but with the Nuggets able to trot out Mozgov and McGee, Bynum and Gasol have struggled. Plus Faried gives 100% effort which I can't say Gasol does after watching him closely this season.

    But yeah, this game will all come down to transition as it has the last 2 games. If the Nuggets can get out and run (which I think will actually happen more with Artest coming back taking ridiculous shots), I think they'll win this one.

  • I'm rooting for the Nuggets, I can't stand the Lakers. I really hope Bynum's words come back to bite him in the ass.

  • I reallllllly hope the Nuggets win, but I don't see it. Even still Lakers are going to get manhandled but OKC next round.

  • A potential LA-OKC second round series would be interesting. One thing to watch there would be how well OKC plays in those first two games, as they've had a bit of a layoff now. If it takes them some time to shake off the rust, LA could steal a game on the road early on.

  • I'd like to see Denver win, but role players tend to play much better at home than on the road. I think LA wins by double digits. Am happy to be wrong.

    Big game from Steve Blake. World peace, gasol, and Bynum played very well. Those 4 really made a huge difference tonight.

    Definitely. Should be a heck of an atmosphere Monday night in OKC. I'm sure the Thunder fans will have a thing or two to say to Artest.

  • I think the Lakers are at their best when Kobe is distributing to get others involved. When he is shooting every time down the court, it's kinda Melo esque. His teammates just get played out of the game.

    Real basketball is on ABC at 3:30 though. Go Heat!!!

    Good point - seems to have worked last night. I think OKC is a little tougher inside than Denver is, so Gasol and Bynum may not be quite as effective in the 2nd round even if they bring their A game.
