I'm going to head out to ski in the Snowy Range a few times this season hopefully. I have no idea how the slopes are but I imagine they're fine.

Boyne is miserable. It's literally like a hundred feet taller. Nubs or highlands are better but they are awful compared to out west. Don't waste your time going up there unless you go a little further and head to search mont.

Only skis Ive used the last decade are the pair on my snowmobile(s). Almost always in the U.P.. Have been out to the Rockies though, which included a day in Yellowstone, and some serious mountain riding in Idaho. Expensive but fun hobby.

Well I do disagree with some of what you say about him, but that doesn't mean I hate you. It's just an opinion after all and you have a right to voice it so I don't see how anybody could hate you for that.

I use to be a big time skier, bit havent gone since 2004. I started when I was 3 up at Sugar Loaf outside TC. But ever since the resort went bankrupt around 2000, I havent gone alot. I've been out to Snowbird in Utah, which is AWESOME. Been to Colorado a few times also (summit county and Aspen)

Dude, we use to love sugar loaf! Our dad would drive us up for the day from saginaw all the time. We would hit crystal mountain or the loaf constantly.
I raced in high school and did the occasional moviles stuff. But I took 10 years off. When my bro moved to park city it awsome because I got energized about it again. When I got back out I realized how much fun it is.
Let's all go do a day this winter, it will be super fun.

Jackson is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I've known people that lived there to ski for two years after college , then joined the real world. I wish I had a few years of my life back, I would redo everything.

Well skip lived in park city and sold property on the top of mountains for talisker which was owned by the canyons. So we have skied a lot of Utah.
Then last year we went to Jackson Hole, which was flat out crazy. Although I should have done something to get in shape for that. You can't just show up and ski that mountain.
So this year we decided Colorado since I haven't been there.
I have a lot of questions about east coast aiki.g. where have you been? Any places around Nashville?

Im a lifelong all mountain skier. The three best ski resorts out West are Jackson Hole, Whistler, and Snowbird. Vail is nice. Im a big fan of Squaw but the snow is not as good. Park City is great. Colorado is OK. Just got back from Kirkwood today. What are you looking for?

Everyone bitches about the hardpack out east but I've never had powder once out west....so no biggie. How far is it for you?
I know skip stopped on his way from Michigan to florida to ski in west Virginia last year but i cNt remember where.
What do you ski on? I just got my first pair of full rocker wide skis....this will be interesting.

I've skied Stowe, Killington and others out East. All I remember is crowds, icy runs, and freezing cold weather. That's one reason I moved back West.
I heard good things about Jay Peak. I'd go back to Tremblant if I still lived out East.
