They lost to Cal at home in my book, anyone who watched that game would probably agree. Their only offense appears to be Miller's legs and the defense is bending and almost breaking against terrible competition (all home games too). MSU is bad but I still don't see Ohio beating them.

The B1G is awful this year. I actually think the only team from their division that has a shot at beating them is Purdue because of Purdue's defensive line.
Unless they really mess up they will be undefeated going into our matchup bc that is how bad the B1G is.

I would not be surprised if Purdue wins the division, frankly. Overall they have looked pretty good and have some solid pieces.
PSU has been very frustrating. If we could clean up a number of things on offense (and get our LT and RB back), the O could be very good. Can't believe how much improvement McGloin has shown this year compared to the last two. The D worries me, though.

Yeah. This season has been one of those "We SHOULD be 3-0 at this point." (and another win SHOULD be coming this afternoon) But we aren't, and saying we should be isn't much comfort. That's just how it is.
Still a lot of things that need to be cleaned up. I think we'll be competitive in all the rest of our games. Just need to pull out the wins. I can see us competing with OSU, even winning if they make some mistakes and we don't, but Miller is quite a weapon. I'll be interested to see how we defend him.

I feel like Mauti and Hodges will be great against Miller, though. A good LB for a spy is the perfect weapon against a QB like Miller.
Their defense looks bad, but your offense hasn't looked much better. I'm sure both will get much better throughout the year so it'll be interesting to see that matchup and how the teams progress.

OSU had a couple of defensive starters not playing today that will play next week.
starting corner Bradley Roby was held out along with starting safety CJ Barnett and startling DE Michael Bennet. Starting tailback Carlos Hyde was also out but will play next week. Like Al Davis said just win baby win!

I think MSU can and will beat OSU.
Bell is going to pound the ball, and he may only get 80 yards or so. But OSU can't stop a screen or bubble to save their lives right now. Maybe they will figure it out this week...if so, they probably win. But right now, MSU has looked like the better team...sad but true.

I hope you're right, but I don't think so. OSU has been able to move the ball when needed with Braxton Miller's feet. But MSU's offense has been pathetic. OSU will stop Bell. He's slow and MSU's OL gives him no help at all. The yards he piled up on BSU and EMU were almost entirely of his own making. I think it's a relatively low scoring game, but OSU pulls out an ugly win in the end.
OSU 24 MSU 16
