Nah, the punter got completely blown up, this was a good call. MSU defenders were selling out to block the punt, and they were just stupid about it.
Also, HELL of a catch by Mumphery there, that's a legit catch.

Turk lunges forward after he punts... MSU DB dove straight toward him, and Turk sold the contact worse than it was but there was definitely contact.

If you vouch for him, that is fair enough. I did not intend to be antagonistic. His viewpoint on the block seemed very very homer-based and unrealistic in my approach. Thus, I assumed he was angry and not thinking unclearly b.c ND is showing so well so far.

Yep. Offense has made mistakes at extremely inopportune times.
Ugh. Really irritating considering the blown opportunities early.
How huge does that missed 44 yarder look now? Would have made it a one possession game. As it stands, two quick scores are going to be needed, and an exhausted defense is going to have to make a stand.

OSU has been exposed, Stanford is leading USC, MSU is losing by 2 scores, and Michigan won by 50. All things considered, it really has been a pretty damn good day of football.
