I think this rivalry can easily continue (probably after 2019 it looks like). It probably wont be an annual matchup, but how hard would it be for ND to schedule Michigan once every 3 years, and ND could do that with their Big Ten rivals, schedule Michigan, MSU and Purdue once every three years on a rotating basis. This still gives them flexibility to be primaddonas while having a consistent cycle with their other rivalries. It might make our rivalry with them more intense in some aspects, because we only play them once every 3 years
