With the way recruiting has accelerated, hearing that a player is just considering Michigan for an official really suggests to me they're unlikely to end up here. You never know, but it's the guys who make it for an unofficial in the spring or summer who generally fill up the class, with very few exceptions. That makes it tough to recruit guys from California who can't make it for an unofficial but might have made it out for an official in the spring if it were allowed.
