Norfleet to Michigan

    No, Burbridge is definitely better.

I Will admit I was nervous about um getting in on Monty once Stonum was let go.

Anyways, on the one hand i'm a little disappointed because I was hoping for a big name SEC WR. On the other I like it because I was very impressed with his film and was hoping he would get an offer back in the summer. I like having a versatile back with tons of speed. Not worried at all about his height, do hope his weight is alot closer to 180 then 160 though. Lets me believe he can get over 190 here which would be nice. Was hoping we could fill this role with Edwards in 2013 but maybe we still end up with both.

There's still time! pray Just kidding, Payton was our only hope.

    Maze is 5'7????coulda fooled me.

he's listed as 5'10" 180 but that's not the point. I don't really care about his height. It's how he plays, a quick, fast guy who finds plenty of chances to play despite the type of offense they run.

  • I'm not in anyway saying norfleet isn't good. If I had my pick of RBs I'm taking norfleet over Johnson anytime. Just didn't think um needed a guy like norfleet. Obviously um staff valued Johnson more. I know um is going all in on Isaac next year. Really thought UM would go after another te.

  • why isnt this clown banned? like a quarter of his posts are telling us why we shouldnt be happy about a commit and that their's is better

I for one am not disappointed, hell of a late pick up

Norfleet is a good player but Cmon..... how does he fit this class??? its a desprate move in the final hour.

Calling this desperate is so ridiculous. Norfleet could easily play the role of a Darren Sproles when we get Shane Morris in and move to the pro style offense completely. This kid could be a dangerous matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. Couple him with Funchess at TE and its going to be incredibly hard for LBs and Safeties to cover them.

I saw Norfleet compete this spring and summer at the NLA 7-on-7 in Pittsburgh, the IMG Madden event in Bradenton, Fla., the NLA 7-on-7 national championships in Dallas, and then I was at his season opener this year against Brother Rice. This kid loves playing football and loves to compete. In 7-on-7 in 100-degree plus weather, he never subbed out on offense and defense. He demanded the ball on offense on every snap. He has a relentless motor. He's a great kid on top of it all. Tremendous get for Michigan. I think he will do big things in Ann Arbor!

I remember that article and being frustrated that Michigan didn't offer.

Didn't he do a good job at CB in those events also?

LoL...I would be more worried about Burbridge making the grades to join the team next year. You and your Sparty buddies should discuss how to get him some help.

  • Wow Norfleet is a suprise. A pleasant suprise. I love the idea of him as a Sproles type running back who runs well and catches a lot of short passes out of the backfield.

  • I like Norfleet. 4 star on 3/4 sites and kids electric. I almost died of laughter when I saw ESPN has him as a 75 ranking.

  • Something that may come in play in the future, Shane and our new RB have spent a lot of time together in 7 on 7 tourneys. There is a lot of familiarity there with these guys. He was Shanes go to guy most of the time. I know it is in the future but he will be a great check down guy in the future for Shane. He can take it the distance every time he touches the ball. I wonder if this ends the future offer for Edwards. Pretty much the same guy right?

  • I really think Norfleet will help the return game. A big reason why Michigan signed him! He is absolutely electric on the field. Michigan needed to add some skill players with speed to this 2012 class and thats exactly what they did. Good late edition!

Thanks for the classy post. As well, I hope for the best for Stacey.

Cincinnati took one of ours. We took one of theirs.

Cincy quit recruiting Stacey, he called UC and made contact. Hoke & Co contacted Norfleet.

If staying at home is a dream for Norfleet good for him and his family.

Thanks for the followup. Some kids don't meet all the measurables but they can flat out play, and from everything I have heard/read, that is what Norfleet does. Looking forward to him wearing the winged helmet.

Michigan has been missing a dynamic return man. I was watching some highlights from this last season and while Gallon does a good job on PR, he missed some cuts that would have been 6. Special kids see those lanes on the field, hopefully Norfleet is one of those special talents.

Yeah Jacquizz Rodgers, total hard nosed speedster who is now on the Atlanta Falcons. I can't wait to see Norfleet in the return game with Drake Johnson.

Wow, you guys are ungrateful. We pick up a top 247 guy (169) and you are complaining? It is one thing if we were running out of spots, but that is not the case.

Just woke up & dialed up... not complaining , I want moar **** stars !!!

Having a good time at the RCMB bashing our coaching staff for taking Norfleet and closing poorly?

They have to complain about something because they literally got their asses stomped by Coach Hoke in recruiting this year. They wanted Norfleet badly early in the process.

    Noose is tightening in lansing.

MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13
