  • If Hayes or Rawls are non factors this year, and easily surpassed in the depth chart, I hope they leave the team and open up some schollys. Also, does anyone know if Fitz has a steel/titanium rod in his leg, or if he plans on playing with one? Maybe we can expect Fitz to come out way more determined this upcoming year. I think his success in 2011 got to his head this past season, and he thought things were going to come easy for him.

If they dont prove their worth...obviously if they can contribute instead of keeping the bench warm we are certainly all for it, but if they get surpassed on the depth chart and dont contribute, they need to rethink their options.

  • I think we keep them no doubt through the 2014 season and think Rawls has a role and could even be a FB, but Hayes has some proving to do...and if at the end of next season he is just a body on tbe depth chart, we will have enough young talent to not worry if he leaves

Options? Here's one. How about they have the time of their lives as schlorship athletes for the greatest university in the world and take their invaluable degrees and parlay them into long and successful carreers in their chosen fields. To me that's a much better option than being one or two on the depth chart at Eastern Michigan or the like.

    This. This. This. This. This.

If they can't make our starting lineup, then they aren't going pro. And if they aren't going pro, then they need to earn the best degree they can and build strong connections for future jobs. Michigan is a great place to do this.

We won't know for another 20 years which of these kids are going to be successful anyways...there's more important things in life than running an oblong object 4-5 yards through a crowd of big strong guys.

Or they might actually want to play football, so an option would be to play elsewhere....it happens all the time
