It's the island to the left of harsens island (most popularly known for the annual jobby nooner bash) in lake st Clair. Apparently it tried landing on an arm near the pole, there were quite a few "arms" on the pole, which means a lot of wires too. What it probably didn't see is a smaller more flexible wire called a jumper. What is much more common is for a squirrel or raccoon to accidentally make contact between the 2 bushings coming out of the top of a transformer. Not the 1st time we've seen a goose do this though.
I haven't hunted the area but a couple guys I work with said it is the Mecca of duck hunting. I can believe it too cause I've never seen flocks of ducks like we did that few days
Edit-it was most likely trying to land on a set of arms
