MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

I would have had someone do a small portrait of me in it and rocked out a face on my face

  • I'm on the right. We were on Dickinson Island, which was only accessible by friggin airboat. Only 1 year round resident, so when a goose tried landing a little to hard on a primary line......big fireball, downed lines, no power, 1 well done goose.

Where is tbe island? Were you hunting?

Also, ive never seen a goose try to land on a power line lol. Tbey dont really have capable feet to do that lol. He probably ran into it on accident...bb

It's the island to the left of harsens island (most popularly known for the annual jobby nooner bash) in lake st Clair. Apparently it tried landing on an arm near the pole, there were quite a few "arms" on the pole, which means a lot of wires too. What it probably didn't see is a smaller more flexible wire called a jumper. What is much more common is for a squirrel or raccoon to accidentally make contact between the 2 bushings coming out of the top of a transformer. Not the 1st time we've seen a goose do this though.

I haven't hunted the area but a couple guys I work with said it is the Mecca of duck hunting. I can believe it too cause I've never seen flocks of ducks like we did that few days

Edit-it was most likely trying to land on a set of arms

Yeahbmy aunt and uncle retired and sold their house in troy and bought a little conveniance store on harsins I believe. Never been there though.

Weird spot for a goose to land, but I love duck hunting.
