Notre Dame Lands Top Florida Tight End..Mike Heuerman disregarded ties to Ohio State and decided to blaze his own trail. HAHAHA..OsU fans thought he was a lock to them.

Have they ever congratulated another fanbase or even admitted that they just got outrecruied? What a bunch of arrogant asses, it's just unbelievable that they can call us (or anybody else for that matter) arrogant. Everytime I read a post from one of their fans I hate them even more.

lol he was speaking about people emailing him "unflattering" emails about a loss to USC not buckeye fans in general. However on the subject i think if we "cooled" on him it was only because they felt him a lock not because they didnt want him and i for one wish him nothing but the best. He is a good kid and if ND is the school he thinks is best fit for him thats where he should he go. Most of the posts on bucknuts wished him luck but TE is not a position i am worried about. If we miss on Pocic i will be worried.

actually nobody on the osu boards is saying that we cooled on him, but it is true that we didnt need him. we landed the number 3 te in the nation and have very limited scholarship left so most fans of ohio state realize that this was not a priority.
as for the belief that he was a lock that is true. many people who know more than i do with insider information claim that he told the staff that he was a commit to ohio state but then turned back on his word, which also in turn cause the staff to stop recruiting josh mcneil.
that said ohio state fans are really not that upset because of lack of need but nobody is claiming that we cooled on him, he just made a decision that was in all likely hood better off for him
after watching his film (i was late to see it) i realize what a great get he is for ND his tape is pretty nasty

We never cooled on him. Good get for the domers, great player and great kid. FWIW, he's said since day 1 of his recruitment he didn't wanna compete for playing time with his brother. We'll be fine, we have Baugh.

I'm really surprised how low 247 has Jake Butt ranked, compared to Rivals and Scout. Rivals and Scout have him 4th and 6th respectively, both ahead of Marcus Baugh. Hmm...

Espin has Baugh higher than Butt. Butts boarderline Espin 150, he might make the next update, though.

Butt and Baugh are both rated an 80 by ESPN. And Butt is rated ahead of Baugh by both Scout and Rivals. Butt seems significantly underrated by 247 (probably because he was initially rated as a DE). I would be surprised if he doesn't move up in 247's rankings when they look at him again as a TE.
