Michigan's 2013 recruiting class...

  • Hypothetically, let's say the Wolverines were forced to start this class again from scratch. All of the current commits would be back on the market.

    1) Of the current commits, who would be your first pick? Why?

    2) And adding a twist, what if we removed that player's ability to recruit other prospects to Michigan from the consideration?

    1) Shane Morris
    2) If we removed Shane from recruiting himself, I don't think we would have McCray.. His dad is an apparently an O$U legend, I think he would have gone there if Shane didn't help out with him. Assuming we get Treadwell, I don't think we would have a shot at him either if Shane couldn't recruit.

I don't know if this is just me, but question #2 seems like you're assuming everybody is going to pick Morris. lol

agreed and how can you not, our coaches wana transition back to the pro style offense, the #1 need for that is the right type of qb, shane is the perfect fit but he's also an amazing recruiter, he would also be my 1st pick but i would call david dawson a very close #2, he looks like an absolute beast that will help bring our o-line back to the mauling style we used to have

  • I'd pick Morris but if not then I'd go with Kugler, that guy is gonna be a beast.

    2. Shane. Recruiting other guys or not, QB is the most important position and Shane's gonna be a stud.

    2. Morris

But since you seem to be looking for somebody different at #2, I will go with, Dymonte Thomas. Ohio kid that the Bucknuts still want.

  • 1. the qb is always going to be the most important piece. unless hes a average 3 star, but if hes a top 5 qb then thats gonna be a great first piece and the building block to your class. recruits want to play with a great qb.

    2. have to go with david dawson. this guy gets better every week. he dominates every camp he goes to and never has a set back. heard he was a top performer at the rivals 100 camp and that camp brings only the best of the best better than any camp dawson has been at this year.

    3. you never asked for a third, but its hard to pick just two. i'll take dymonte thomas at third

  • 1. Shane Morris- QB most important position on the field.
    2. Kyle Bosch- I just think he really fits the mold of what the coaches are looking for in linemen.

  • 1) Gotta go with Morris...for obvious reasons.
    2) Morris again. Even if he never talked to another recruit, just his position and ranking alone will interest other top flight kids.

The one recruit that is skyrocketing up my favorites list is Jourdan Lewis. I was glad that he committed, but he has exploded since then. The future at CB is bright.

i think hes much better than terry richardson. im not high on terrys cover skills. i have a feeling terry ends up playing alot on offense. wr/pr/kr

  • Morris is leader of offense
    Kugler leader of oline
    Dymonte defensive field general

lol I had a feeling that might be the case, so I wanted to make everyone think a little more.

It seems as if the CT CBs are improving each year.

  • 1.Morris - The best player in our class at the most important position on our offense.
2.Kugler - A great player at a position that we're short on depth.
3.Charlton - My favorite prospect on the defensive side of the ball.

  • Shane was key...he got the class going. Would Dymonte be on board without Shane? The OL? Who knows. He has been a monster recruiter.

  • I really like J Lewis also, but I would say #2 would be Deveon Smith. We really needed at least 1 solid RB in this class, and with Green or Wilkins still uncommitted, Smith is a huge piece because Shane and our offense needs a potent running game for balance and success.

  • 1.) Shane Morris
    2.) Jourdan Lewis (straight lockdown)

Webb has impressed thus far. However, it seems as if all recruiting services have greatly underrated Jourdan Lewis, and he could easily end up being regarded as a top 75 player when it's all said and done. Either way, it sure is nice to have this pipeline. Let's hope Coach Wilcher lives to be 140! goblue
