Michigan offers 2014 Glenville DB

Confirmed with 2014 DB Erick Smith (Glenville, OH) that Michigan has offered him today. Should have more later. Already holds offers from Ohio State, West Virginia among others.

Is his profile still correct with Ohio State as his leader? Or does a Michigan offer pull us even with them?

they tend to wait late to commit, as by design by their coach. He takes a bunch of his guys around to camps and if he has a few already committed it hurts the number of camps he can get in and get his "other" players seen by coaches.
That said, it will be tough to pull a Glenville kid who has an OSU offer, much like pulling a Cass Tech kid with a UM offer. Not unheard of, but a tough pull...

Michigan and Ohio are in on a lot of the same DB's, with Ohio already landing Webb.... How many does Ohio take in the '14 class?

I'm thinking with what we have coming in this year, who will return, I'm guessing the number at 4 for next year. We'll need safeties for sure. Haven't brought in a true, big safety this year. Burrows may grow into the safety spot but who knows. Have had some success at recruiting the CB spot but have to fill the safeties and the Star spot.
