I agree that he will probably end up at Bama but at some point kids have to realize that Bama has taken at least 2 4 or 5* RB's in the last three recruiting cycles. Like our OL recruiting is going to be for the next couple years. I wish the kid well and I applaud his obvious competitiveness but it seems kinda silly to go to a place that is so deep at your position, regardless if you're a fan or not.

Not at all disagreeing with you, as what you said makes a lot of sense. However, from a recruit's perspective, especially an elite recruit, a lot of them are 100% confident that they'll beat out anyone on the roster, no matter where they go. That confidence is part of what makes them as great as they are, but it also means that the issue you raised may not even be considered as part of their decision-making process.

And when you look at the recent track record, Richardson had to sit behind Ingram. But then he only spends one year as a full-time starter and comes out as the best NFL running back prospect in years. Before the injury Eddie Lacy was looking ready for a big year, and now TJ Yates is generating buzz.
Alabama is as close to a sure path to the NFL as there is in college football. And when you consider the shelf-life of professional running backs, its probably the most efficient path.
