Hey Steve, if you're still around, do you think this will lead to a pressure situation for the other WR targets as we only have one left? I know many of us want to wait and see what happens with Stefon Diggs, but if one of the two spots are already taken, other guys like Chesson, Payton, or Powe could jump on it.

not Steve but here goes...
Michigan isn't recruiting Powe anymore, he's basically said so himself. He's said he hasn't heard from Michigan in a long time.
Chesson and Darboh really hit it off, and I think landing Darboh helps us out a lot in our pursuit of him.
Payton is staying the west coast IMO. I just think of him as a "west coast" kid. There was a reason he had committed to USC so early. Honestly, I am much more excited about other WR targets than Payton. He is a fantastic HS player and a great possession receiver, but the kid literally has no speed. Think Jason Avant without the ridiculous body control or hands- and maybe even less speed.
As far as Diggs goes, we are in it, but how much is anybodies guess. Whether or not he takes a visit will be the tell, it's really as simple as that. I do think we hurt our chances a bit with him by waiting on him to see how the grades turned out- the backing off due to grades thing is what basically killed our momentum with Burbridge and allowed him to go to Sparty- had we stayed on him like Sparty, he'd have been ours.
We all know we're only taking 2 WR's, and we just got one. My guess is Chesson is the next WR to drop.

Am I high? No, sorry. Don't take drugs.
Payton is NOT a better athlete than Amara Darboh. Payton cannot play CB in college...ever.
Sheesh, do you people watch the film of these guys?
And don't throw out 40 times here, unless the time was verified at some sort of Army or NIKE combine (the only 2 that actually use laser timing) those times are incredibly unreliable and basically just speculation.
Payton's film tells me he is a 4.6 kid at best. At best. He cannot run away from anybody.
Darboh's film tells me he is probably in the 4.4 range. He runs away from people that have angles on him. He is legitimately fast.
Payton is slow as molasses for a WR. He does NOT have good speed- not even close to it. Good enough? Sure. But he is not a big play waiting to happen. Darboh? He is a big play waiting to happen.

Oh, you mean JC Butthurt and Barton Simmons - a pair of fan-boys- NOT talent evaluators that both got fired from Rivals and ESPN?
BTW- Butthurt is the guy at Rivals that bumped Junior Hemingway down to a 3* and said that Hemingway would never see the field at Michigan- and that he was a program "depth" player.
I have no idea where you get your information, but there is not one school that is recruiting Payton at CB, and the kid could flat out never play CB. He doesn't have any speed and his quickness and hips are definitely even CLOSE to being good enough to play CB at a BCS conference school.
