Well, he wasn't going to play in a game that would burn his redshirt. shrug

I look forward to this trend of redshirting our entire OL classes.

God willing, the loss of 3-4 of our 5 starting OLs won't necessitate burning redshirts for depth purposes next year.

I can't wait until Michigan can end up redshirting the ENTIRE class, albeit the "college ready" type recruits.

There again, a bashing of our OL that handled the LOS pretty easily all year, rushed for 200 yards in our last game. I would think if he's better than ANY of our OL, then he should be starting as a frosh for UM, since that LOS was also dominated by our DL.

It's all good, you like your players, we like our players.

If one gets burned i bet its Bosch, he seems the most college ready and is an EE

Hell, I wouldn't want a True Freshman OL playing when they only arrived on campus a month prior to the season. Now if he was an EE, then it'd be different.

No - the point is that if a commit made a visit he would lose his offer. That is unless Hoke realized his O line sucks, then you get your offer back.

Hoke doesn't pull offers unless you sneak around, how are you missing the point?

Maybe you had a hard time reading my post, so I'll post it again for you.

See the part where it says "recruited in the past 2 seasons"?

Do you have any underclassmen starting on your OL?

    OK then.

  • We had a soph, a frosh get a lot of time and a TE moved to tackle (so 1st year at interior OL)....

So that's 2 recruited in last 2 years, and 1 not recruited as OL at all.....

And he DID lose his scholarship offer. Yet, it seems like Dawson really wants to be at Michigan. Calling up Hoke and basically pleading for his offer back wouldn't suffice for 99.9% of recruits, but I'm certain that Hoke took Dawson's situation into account. He couldn't have been mentally stable after losing his father in such a tragic accident. Have a little sympathy, would ya?

Did you hear Dawson and Hokes conversation, because who said he pleaded for his offer back. if he did in fact plead for his offer back, he most likely would have committed on the spot. He probably put his cards on the table and told Hoke he might have overreacted .

I like if Dawson wanted back in the class that bad....he would've committed to Hoke on the spot. He still has some doubt IMO.

This is what I don't get either. Also, why would hoke offer Jon Reschke if he wasn't convinced JR would flip? Is hoke just trying to light the fire under other recruits on his board? I'm trying not to speculate, but I can't help but ask if Dawson was re-offered just to get another OL recruit to commit?

Sure getting my first down votes in a while over at the rcmb, aka the morons from the dark side. Dude's post over Hok's weight & my response at the end. That's all.

Was it over the deliciousness of the McDonalds dollar menu?

Yes, your mother was at the meeting also.

It's funny how Sparty fans like to make fat/ health jokes about Hoke, but the last time i checked, Hoke never had a heart attack on the field before.blankblank

Yes, I have a tap on each coach's phone. It's how I get recruiting updates without paying.
