Yep. imagine how many more are going to be arrested when he gets his own guys on campus.

i believe this is your chance to post an inappropriate child murderer picture or something of the like?

Why, did another one of your fans kill their kid?

Obvoiusly the kid has issues- hope he works thru em. Point being ur Bucknutter buddy "well urban didn't recruit him" it's urbans job to mentor and teach these Ohio players to be men outside of football- Ive yet to see any change since he's been there - dude hasnt Even coached a game yet! And there's dudes gettin arrested Like flint thugs.. Tressel is off the clock- still nothing has changed-

I can't stand Urban Meyer, but I wouldn't put this on him.

Meyer has a million and one things to do in Columbus right now. He can't be everyones parent, these young men gotta own their actions. The kid screwed up and Meyer punished him severely...as he should have

Would Braxton Miller have been treated so harshly? We don't know, but that's not the point. Miller didn't hit a girl, Klein did, and Meyer dealt with it.

I'm sure we'll find a million legitimate reason to hate on Meyer as time goes on, I just don't see how this is one of them.

Someday a Michigan player is gonna do something equally stupid, and Hoke will kick him off the team, and we'll laud him for holding the players to a high standard.

What do you expect? He isn't Braxton, if he was, he'd still be there.

Derjuan Gambrell was booted for domestic violence by Urban
Dom Clarke was booted for getting a DUI...20X the player that Klein is.
Jake Stoneburner and Jack Mewhort had their scholarship pulled (temporarily) for urinating in public. He warned them...and he's followed through...Braxton is a HIGH character kid....no need to worry about him...

  • I try not to post to much over here. I like to be respectful and talk with you guys sometimes. Enjoy your site. I feel a need to post what I know since I have a small connection to an extended member of the Klein family. This is what I posted at Bucknuts:

Storm has a story as well and from what his family is saying it goes like this. His ex, whom he has a child with, shows up at his apartment and is angry. He asks her to leave. She starts destroying things. He goes to call 911. She grabs his phone and smashes it. He picked her up and removed her from his apartment, closed and locked the door. While removing her she was fighting him, swinging her head and hit it on the door. The police show up 2 or 3 hours later after Storm thought the whole thing was over. This is simply the other side of the story. I think we all need to listen to both sides, then let the legal system take action. I hope if Storm's story is found to be true he will be returned to the team.

Meh. Urban has a history of such things. I expect this type of thing to become much more common in Columbus now that Urban is there.

Oh that makes sense good point. Urban in charge equals higher likelihood players beat women. Great logic.

No, but Urban in charge equals higher likelihood of players committing crimes. See Florida, 2005-2010.

Way to miss the entire point. I meant more players getting in trouble with the law. Don't get mad at me cause your team hired a coach with that type of history.

The difference here is Klein was average at best, Stonum was our number 1 wideout this upcoming season. When one of Urb's studs mess up, we'll see how he handles it, aka not do anything.

kinda already showed that with stoneburner and mewhort, slap on the wrist, klein had alread been moved to backup so not too surprising he's let go, makes room for another recruit

IMO Stoney and Mewhort got shafted, we have all pissed out doors, I've done it in alleys myself multiple times.

umm yea bud how many FL players were arrested while urbs was there? coach obviously doesn't make the kids decisions for them but there is alot to be said for how a coach handles his players.

Didnt they run from the law? I thought this was the bigger issue.

To add to that, Maybe its also that he will recruit players with lower character...ie Will Hill

how does that make room for another recruit? Klein was a Senior, his scholarship was up after this year anyway.

If all they did was pee in public, that's what they should get, slap on the wrist IMO. Urban handled the Klein kid as good as any coach could have. He gone, maybe with a chance to come back after trial? Most other crimes have a "wait and see" approach used, as Hoke clearly has, and I'm good with that. Domestic abuse though is a whole different world though

If you were about to get arrested for something dumb and saw you had a chance to get away would you?

What Fitz (and Clark, tbh) did isn't as near as bad as what Storm Klein did.

Here's my post over on the " frank Clark" thread.. It's VIP but I'll copy n paste .

It's really not the "cooler heads prevail" scenario.... This offseason had been embarrassing and completely out of line- coach hoke needs to make an example outta Fitz or Clark ... Sometimes a leader of a team needs to do something to open the eyes of the other players -that this gettin into trouble with the law bullshit is over with... Lose one guy for the betterment of team- I'm all for it!!!

fair enough, just thought it was ironic

    @rabid - i wouldn't say it's any better or worse.
