Yeah, there's no way that they wouldn't have gone, I still don't like the way Brandon handled it but I'm glad they're going.

In the 2 years he has been our AD, I've noticed a pattern in the way he does his job. It looks to me like he's the type of person who floats an idea out there to see how it goes over and uses the feedback in the decision making process. Moving the Ohio State game to earlier in the year was one early on the got leaked and then ultimately changed. The mascot has been floating around for awhile. Uniform changes were out there early, and now the band continues that trend. See if people will be mad, and if the backlash isn't too bad, go for it.

Good news for the band, wouldn't have been right if they didn't go.

Brandon: "Hey, we're not taking the band."
Donors: "What?! We'll pay for it."
Brandon: "Ok, cool."

400k athletic dept. doesn't have to pay.

He's a business man, not a dumb ass IMO.

The guy gets a lot of criticism for doing nothing but good things for the athletic department. He was crucified to coach search, don't see any of the morons calling for his job apologizing (not you, just in general).

There is a method to his madness, just learn to deal with the results not his posturing.
