I think Ziggy Ansah is worth a top 5 pick IMO. He’s a freak athlete with a great motor and work ethic. He would be a great fit at LDE, and it would allow them to move Avril to the right side where he would be much less of a liability against the run.
I agree with you on Werner but Jordan IMO is worth a top 5 pick, just not at DE. He’s an OLB in either scheme. He can do a little bit of everything, and his ability to cover TE’s is very intriguing. He’s probably never going to be a great pass rusher, but his effect in other aspects of the game should make up for it. He’s going to end up becoming a rich man’s Manny Lawson, and would be a great fit as a 3-4 Sam. He’s a good player just not a fit for the Lions.

Bottom line is the Lions are screwed. This whole thread has been over-thinking the solution. The answer is the Lions need players/upgrades at every position. We need better OL, DE, LB, CB, RB, etc.....so its not an easy problem to fix. Good luck to that front office!

My miracle off season:
Resign: C.Houston & Delmas
Sign: R.Bush, Levitre or Vasquez, S.Breaston
Draft: 1. Ziggy Ansah-DE/ Dee Milliner-CB 2. Jonathan Cyprien-SS/ M.Hunt or T.Carridine-DE 3. Nico Johnson - LB 4. TJ McDonald- FS 5. Manase Foketi - OL 6. Denard Robinson - WR/RB 7. Michael Mauti- LB (last pick- risk/reward)
My 2nd round pick is dependent on what I decide to do in the 1st.
I just whipped this together real quick. Obviously there will have to be more quantity of signings...and I'd also suggest there's no way this is gonna happen either. As you can see- im hoping for a mostly defensive draft...which I have been asking for, for like 3yrs straight now.

I definitely agree with the talk of a defensive end or an offensive lineman in the first round. Just please avoid drafting a wide receiver. The Lions have some huge need and I definitely think they need to focus on those first. They have the nucleus on offense and have a few good players on defense. Just build around them and they should be fine.

You keep your dirty hands off Andy Levitre! My Bills suffer enough without getting looted every time we develop good young talent.
