Michigan coaches- more defense-oriented, more experience coaching in the pros, easy to get along with, more disciplined, rarely yell at their players

Michigan program- more structured, more stable, more storied, closer to a national title, more national exposure, bigger stadium, less distractions for athletes, etc...

A lot of fanbases would disagree with that comment "closer to a national title", FSU has been pointing to this upcoming season as thier year. Actually a lot thought last year might be the year if they could get past OU at home.

I absolutely love the defensive structure we have in place at UM. And there are no higher character coaches as a whole than Hoke & Company, but lets not act like FSU is a rooty poot program. I've always held their defensive schemes in much high regard. They are definitely a threat right now. But with that said, I believe in my heart of hearts that he will choose The Blue. I think Hoke have invested more in him than any other recruit, along with the likes of Isaac.

Note: If Levenberry do commit, he would seriously be a possible 4yr starter at ILB. The competition would be off the map intense - (Joe Bolden, James Ross, Kaleb Ringer, Ben Gedeon, and E. J. Levenberry all competing.) WHOA!!! GO BLUE!!!

RJS as well. We're going to have a really good LB core.

Man, every year has been FSU's year for a few decades. They routinely outrecruit the rest of their conference, bringing blue chip recruiting classes into the ACC.

The fact that they haven't made a BCS game since 2005 or won one since 1999 is more telling than their fans expectations for the year.

I left RJS and NcCray off cause they r more of the SAM mold, outside guys. But I totally agree.

  • Supposedly...Levenberry will try to make a decision by next week.

At least that's what a scout reporter said which was then mentioned today by a Michigan poster on a FSU board.

At first glance this was surprising since he has said August if he's ready or the Army game if he's not decided by that point. But thinking about it more, if he's really down to Michigan and FSU, what reason does he have to wait until August? He's not planning 3rd unofficial visits to either school, so he won't have any new data and probably has a good feel for which school he likes better after the most recent trips.

  • I felt really strong until after his last FSU visit. Then he said his Michigan visit was a 10/10. I think it helps to be the last visit and I think it puts us over the top.

Same here.. Michigan and FSU are very different schools and very different parts of the country. Mattison is a huge name for a DC, but having a Stoops as your DC is pretty impressive too.

Seeing the way our commits acted around each other had to be a plus, as does the love our staff is showing him by telling other LBs there isn't a spot.

Tough one to call.. really makes me wonder why Farrell is still so adament that FSU was the far and away leader and still is the leader.

#Michigan made up serious ground on LB EJ Levenberry this weekend, not sure if it will be enough to sway away from #FSU but they did well

  • You have to question if Farrell has even been in contact with EJ or if he's just throwing out a guess based on information he attained weeks or even months ago. I'm sure he can claim to be the "recruiting godfather" if EJ goes to FSU. If EJ chooses Michigan then I imagine we'll hear something about how EJ changed his mind at the last second. That seems to be to go-to solution when Mike calls one wrong.

I really hope EJ comes here just to see what Farrell does. I do think FSU is in good shape here, though.

  • Announcing on Tuesday.

  • Glad we'll know one way or the other soon. Certainly want him in blue, but he's a real luxury recruit at this point. Almost mostly want him just so Farrell doesn't get to gloat.
