I'm not sure to be honest. What I do remember back when he was originally recruited by the staff was reading something about his dad, and his involvement in Jrs. recruitment.

Believe his Dad said he should go to a big time program like LSU and his Dad did not see UM there yet.

I know his Dad is from Louisiana and went to Southern University but grew up a big LSU fan. I still think he ends up at Michigan.

Gaining interest from a big time SEC program was my one worry with Hurst. Sounds like he is solid, but we have months of pressure from dad.

This is probably because of what Hurst's Dad said in response to him tweeting his excitement over finally receiving an offer Michigan. His Dad said something to the effect that "Well, that's nice, but, they're no LSU or Alabama." I remmeber we were all worried that his old man would hurt our chances of securing a commitment from the kid, but, in the end, it didn't matter. GMatt and Montgomery are outstanding recruiters.

I'm glad he is all blue. He is one of the recruits I am most excited to see play for us. He is going to be a terror on the D Line.
