I think an 8-4 season for ND this year will be a cause for celebration. Especially with Cierre Wood out for two games, I predict another Navy win over ND.

Seems like such a no-brainer to take the 17 pts that ND is probably going to win by 40.

    That's gambling for ya.

ND will be top 10 and legit next year. No sarcasm.

We'll see. Brian Kelly has been recruiting well the past few years, and it's about to pay off imo.

Maybe we should wait until they at least put an above-Mac level QB on the field before we slot them into another BCS bowl. The first two didn't work out so well for them.

It's probably too early to bump this, but... bump. coffee

not a good bump. ND might lose 4 games and you might look bad for this bump. too early rabid. if you didn't bump this and ND sucks this season no one will remember your post, but if you would of waited till the end of the season to bump and ND finishes with 10 or 11 wins then you would of looked like a genius, you just couldn't wait a little longer. your fingers were probably shaking and your neck was itching when they beat msu, you wanted to bump this so bad. I feel you.

I posted this on the Bama board, but thought I'd bring it over here as well, since you guys are the ones deserving of the respect. So here goes:

I think it often goes overlooked when teams sack up and schedule a top flight out of conference opponent. The SEC teams have been doing this for a while, but for Michigan to schedule a team as dominant as Alabama has been the last few years, deserves a TON of credit. Why?

Look at their biggest competition in their conference: Wisconsin

Wisky's OOC schedule looks like this: Northern Iowa, Utah State, Oregon St, UTEP. Pitiful.

Meanwhile, UM goes out and schedules Bama on TOP of scheduling ND every year. They also have Air Force on their schedule, who's never easy to prepare for.

UM's SOS is going to be in the top 10, while Wisconsin's will be in the 70s. And of course, those who make the rankings NEVER look at the schedule, only the record. So kudos to you, Michigan. Your good deed will certainly not go unpunished, but college football is better for it.

I'll say it again Wolverines ... Kick the Domer's azz. Keep plugin away

That was a good game to schedule and SEC teams are doing better scheduling but overall are still laughable - LSU: North Texas, Washington, Idaho, (Auburn) Towson a real killer first 5 games. Some of yesterdays SEC fourth week matchups = Florida Atlantic, South Alabama, South Carolins State & Akron. The matchups in the first three weeks, on average, look like the LSU schedule. Michigan vs Alabama was nice to see but is the exception rather than the rule

Create a playoff and I think you will see a lot better matchups OOC. Frankly if you are looking at the NC game, it's much less risky for an SEC team to schedule a tough game because they have a shot with 1 loss to make the title game, a B1G team has to pretty much go undefeated. So if UM would have gone 11-1 and missed the title game because of the Bama game there would have been a lot of ticked off fans here. The system still stinks.

Your bump is looking better. You've made a believer out of me. They may or may not be able to stay in the top ten by the end of the year with their brutal schedule, but that doesn't mean they aren't one of the nations top 10 teams regardless.

It is these moments of fandom disappointment that U must believe CBH knows what he is doing. He's building - everyone's learning & the nation will see Michigan SOON at the top of the nations polls. IT'S MICHIGAN FOR GOD'S SAKE

trust me we see it. when you have a bunch of freshmen from hokes first class playing a lot and are about to take starting spots from rich rods seniors and juniors then you know hoke knows how to recruit and when all of rich rods guys are gone, UM should be good.
