Jourdan Lewis Ranking Bump

  • Good news. Got to think Dawson/Kugler/Poggi/Hurst Jr/Douglas all may get a slight bump

    U.S. Army All-American Bowl Report

SAN ANTONIO, Texas- It was an exciting U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday and theres a lot to talk about.

  • It's possible Shane could lose his fifth star, so I'm good with those guys rising

I can't wait for ohio fans to go nuts if that happens. You would think they actually played in and won a Bowl Game or something..

  • I got word that David Dawson will most likely be moving up, along with Pat Kugler.

How about Mo Hurst and Poggi? Both have been underrated IMO and solidified that at their respective All American events.

Its about time Kugler has been vastly underrated on here.

This OL class is so good.

Kugler, Bosch, Dawson, and a healthy Fox are all top 100 kids IMO. Would have been nice to see Fox in the All-American setting, but hopefully his rehab goes well.

Then there's LTT who has huge upside. Work in progress, but all the tools are there to develop into a top OT.

You add someone like Hunt into the mix (Who I think projects at OT despite some saying otherwise) and it's just nuts. flex

  • Kugler has definitely been consistently good all week. I love the kid. He is so sound with his technique and plays hard and to the whistle every play. He's versatile enough to play guard or center. There's no way he isn't a solid, if not better than solid player for at least three years at Michigan.

  • Kugler and Dawson more than held their own, and more often than not were dominating against elite D-Linemen throughout the game.

I don't see how Poggi wouldn't get a bump after the way he performed throughout the week and in the game. Hurst did well but not sure how much the Semper Fi OL will help him move up as opposed to the other 2 AA Games.

With his father being who he is everyone should expect his technique to be top notch. I wish he could have been an EE, he might have had a shot to see the field at Center or Guard this year.

Clint, in your opinion do you think Kugler has the best shot of the incoming freshmen OL to start day 1? If not who do you think might be?

With Bosch enrolling early and already having the size, I'd say Bosch.

Definitely a good point. It'd be tough for Kugler to step in to fall camp and win a job on the line but from everything I've seen he's already technically sound and he's got the ability to play center which seems to be an open competition.

Kugler is also about to have surgery on his shoulder.

I think Kugler and Dawson have a shot. With Kugler's technique and knowledge of the game, he might have the best shot out of all of them.

Yeah that might hurt his chances to play as a true frosh as well.

I'm hearing there's a chance. We all know that it's tough to judge a QB in a high school bowl game like this because of the lack of practice time and the offensive line struggles so you have to look at exactly how bad the QB struggled and compare him to the other QB's there. Also have to look closely at their mechanics, etc...

Honestly nobody should care. He's not back to 100% yet as far as his physical strength so his arm strength and mechanics have suffered as well.

Everybody that has seen him throw live knows the type of talent he has. He has plenty of time to work and get better. The potential is through the roof.

  • At least Morris didn't throw 4 ints.... I thought his first 3 passes were well thrown, all to treadwell also. His interception was a pass that should have been thrown to treadwell. Plus VHIII is an unbelievable corner and gave treadwell trouble all day. Reminds me of Janoris Jenkins.

Hargreaves was the best player on the field and it wasnt even close.

Don't have to lie to us the 247 guys have been tough/critical of Morris for a good while now and he will drop some

    Michmania

  • Haha I'm not lying. I was told "Shane Morris MIGHT drop some in the rankings." I didn't hear Shane Morris WILL drop in our rankings. Why in the world would I lie?

    Because it's a conspiracy!

Morris is going to drop to a 3 star, and JT Barrett is going to be a newly minted 5 star!
