It's not in the NCAA's jurisdiction to punish Auburn for buying athletes, Newton or maybe even Diamond or for nailing UNC for a serious academic fraud deal. Ask Mark Emmert.

It didnt ruin Cam's career because it was never proven he was actually paid. He certainly has never admitted to being paid. The New York Times, Fox Sports net, and ESPN all investigated Cam's recruitment and they didnt find any proof he was paid either
According to the rumor another Michigan fan posted on tBB, Jordan Diamond supposedly admitted to someone from the Chicago Tribune that he was paid. That was the borderline crazy part and the part that would ruin his career
