But the GBW regime at the time was still playing the RR diehard loyalist card, probably out of some misplaced fear that talk of RR leaving would hurt recruiting. Never mind that talk of RR possibly being gone was literally everywhere in the media..but no a guy making a post on a forum will make the difference.
The whole politics of the RR situation were just baffling.

I never got banned, but cancelled my membership. I complained to the Beave that a moderator was personally attacking posters and then locking the thread so no reply could be made, then deleting new threads started in response to his attacks.
He fed me some crap about how tough it was being a moderator and let it slide.
Afterward I found out that he had been (and still is) stealing info from another site started up by insiders that bailed on him.
It's hilarious that you can't even type "Rivals" or "Yahoo" on that board.

I haven't been posting as much on GBW anymore, it seems like that board has really gone downhill lately, so I don't think you will miss it much. It seems like a lot of the new posters just want to attack fellow posters. It makes you feel like you really have to watch what you say and you can't really express your opinion without fear of reprisal, not unlike communism.
You'll love it here.
