It is funny how the ANTI-B1G fans and media across

  • America continue to promote the thought that the B1G is a regional conference. Yet they adversely promote that the Big 12, SEC, ACC and PAC 12 as national conferences. I have never heard such bologna.
The B1G is most assuredly a national conference, especially with Michigan, ohio, PSU, Nebraska and Wisconsin recruiting such as we do. Especially with how Michigan and ohio are currently and in the past have recruited.
Now with Michigan again becoming relevant with what may be the best coaching and recruiting staff in college football, Michigan is most assuredly going to cause problems for the top programs nationally who are hoping to see the B1G die and going away.
I know in one sense I am a Michigan homer, but in reality I have followed the program and school I love for more than 49 years. I am intrigued by the future of our programs, the upgrading of our facilities and the continued improvement of student/athlete support and success.
I hope to see the upper bowl filled out with seating in my lifetime. I want to set in an expanded Big House beating ohio's life outta their team. I want to see us win a national championship in Ice Hockey, Basketball, Wrestling, Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball and all of our teams.
I really love how Delaney and Scott as Conference Commissioner's have aligned the PAC 12 & B1G into a national Juggernaut with how they have planned to make the scheduling a weekend event. Imagine USC coming to AA with Soccer, Field Hockey and whatever on a weekend as we draw football fans into these other games before or after and on Sunday after the football games. Then to have all of these teams travel on the same charter aircraft thus drastically cutting the cost and expenses for their overall travel expenses. Yet the schools can maximize their income possibilities as they are maximizing their revenue income stream.

What is wrong with this post? WOW no one has even read it. Not intended to cause an issue, but I thought it was a relevant issue. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe the B1G is the only non national conference/league?

  • I read it, I just didn't have time to respond because of work but I definitely agree with you about the B1G being relevant nationally.

Not to mention the alumni and fan bases of schools in the BIG stretch across the country more than most other schools.
