Who gives a F**K? OSU assistants went to see him last week too. The point was the kid was impressed that on SIGNING DAY, those other coaches took time out of their busy day to show the kid what he meant to their programs. I don't think MD likes recruiting, he acts like it's a hassle.

Michigan State should've gone to BCS games in 1999, 2010 and 2011. We continue to get screwed over by a
, outdated system that rewards team's fanbase being larger over actual performance on the field.
1999: UM and MSU nine wins each. MSU beats UM. UM goes to Orange Bowl. Seems fair.
2010: MSU 11-1 same record as Wisconsin. Wisconsin goes to Rose Bowl, MSU no BCS game. Seems fair.
2011: MSU 11 wins most in the conference, MSU wins Legends and thrashes UM, plays an outstanding team for the second time and loses by three. UM backs into the Sugar Bowl. Really fair.Just because you have more hillbillies in your fanbase shouldn't mean that determines if you get to go to a better bowl or not. The whole system is stupid and plays favorites. Anyone denying that is full of

Tressel was also known for putting together coaching staffs that were full of yes men....Every time I see MD interviewed, he looks like he is just sick of everything. Yesterday he couldn't even act like he was excited about any of his recruits. They asked him "Which of your recruits do you see being able to make an impact maybe in their Freshman year".... MD pulls out this gem "The Kicker we got ........ " THE KICKER???? That's the recruit that he was most excited about??? You are correct, he is a Tressel guy... Tress always said the punt was the most important play in football....good luck with your kicker, hope he's your MVP this year.

Why do you blame everyone else for your failures? 1999, don't get rolled by Purdue and Wisconsin and you're not bitching today 2010, don't get rolled by Iowa and you're not bitching today. 2011, don't lose to Wisconsin in the CCG and don't get rolled by Notre Dame and Nebraska, and you're not bitching today.
Your program has controlled its own destiny in all of it, and has failed time and again. Don't bitch to us because you follow an also ran program.

You lost the B1G championship game. When your destiny is entirely in your hands, you don't have anyone else to blame.
Michigan took advantage of its chance when it won the Sugar Bowl. MSU didn't take advantage of theirs. Don't come crying because your team failed to execute.

I clearly stated what defined success for me. I said that we lost the Rose Bowl fair and square in 2011, but that after playing and winning the Rose Bowl, my next priority was to get a good matchup against a good team and win, we did that by beating Georgia. I didn't say that season was unfair, you're mistaking me for another poster who said that.
I did say that the series of events that lead to us not going to Pasadena in 2010 was unfair, so regardless of not going to the Rose Bowl that season, I still see it as a major success as we won the B1G and we were the best team that year. If you disagree with that I'd like to know why you think we didn't deserve to go over Wisconsin.

So in other words, MSU should have to go 13-0 to get to a BCS game every year, since they don't have as large of a fanbase as Michigan.
Michigan can go 11-2, lose to MSU, and still sneak into bowl games over them for one reason: more money
Its a crock. Change this garbage system.
