We played against his team last year and he caught my eye. Kid has a STRONG leg. I wondered if the coaches would discover him.
MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

I think it'd have to be a situation where he proves he's far and away better than anyone on Michigan's roster. Even then, it may take a couple top targets at other positions committing elsewhere.

They would have to cut Gibbons and RS this kid his freshman year for this to make sense to me. You would still be left with 2 years for Wile and 1 for Hagerup. Plus don't we have Allen walking on?

Yeah, there'd definitely have to be some shuffling around. And yes, Allen is walking on. That being said, IF McGrath proves that he's much better than anyone Michigan has, it may make sense to make some of those moves.

Yeah, he said his team really struggled this past year. Sounds like things are looking better for the 2012 season.

We play them at their field in October. He's the only kid I remember from their squad last year. During the hamdshake after the game, I asked him what year he was. I was pleasany surprised he was only a junior.
Does he favor Michigan at all? I gotta believe he'll get offers from someone. I think he's that good.

Sparty's recruiting thread on McGrath indicates he's good friends with LB Reschke. That's too bad.

Sorry for not seeing this until now. He grew up as a Michigan State fan, so I think the Spartans would be the favorites if they offer. He seems to be very close to picking up some big offers, but you never know. If Michigan offers, I think the Wolverines would definitely be in the mix.
