We need him to take another visit to Michigan before we can really think we have a chance.

I know that MIch does not have the reputation for the hotest chicks, but there has got to be a couple that BC can hook him up with.

No, apparently there is one SPECIFIC girl...

Anyway, if he visits again, I will believe we are still in it. Otherwise, not getting too excited.

  • I just think it's awesome that we'll be in the conversation down to the wire with all these elite recruits. That's gotta count for something. Maybe we'll get a snowball effect and it will affect next year's class

Unless one of you dress up as a hot chick, we have no chance. He's not vt bound, he's Clemson bound unless someone takes one for the team

  • First, I would be ecstatic if Fuller committed to Michigan. Of his four finalists, Michigan has the educational advantage, tradition, and best path to achieving domination in its conference - particularly in the defense-minded B-10. Fuller would be a very special player in the B-10.

Second, I truely believe this years class is building towards next year. When BH came aboard, I penciled the 2014 class as the measuring stick for me. He will have had 2-3 years of re-establishing the Michigan name, and move into new pipeline areas. Michigan is in on MANY top kids for 2014. While we will probably finish in the top-5 for 2013, I see #1 recruiting ranking for 2014. The wave is building slowly between our coaches and the 2014 kids. The fruits of an early 2013 class lock-up will be seen next February.

Last, OSU and MSU are taking notice IMO. While the fan bases are disillusional, the coaches are smarter than the fans. Michigan is recruiting the snot out of MSU, and making OSU sweat in their own backyard. ND is feeling the heat as well. Again, fans will deny and talk smack on the boards, but the coaches are watching the situation much more closely.

Your hubris is somewhat disconcerting, to already say that we will have the #1 class in 2014. We are in on a lot of top prospects that have interest in us, being somewhat tantamount to earlier in the year with this current '13 class. I always feel its better to under promise and over deliver. With that being said, from an objective stance, it more rational to assume right now we will have another top 10 class in 2014. Once more kids start to visit, and we get a few commits on board while grasping the interest out there, then we can maybe predict a top 5 class, then top 3 if it comes to that, but anything in that range right now would be bias and misleading.

Exactly, at this point our chances for the top guys we are in on is probably close to Hand-10% Peppers-15% Scarbrough- 5% Prince-15% McDowell-50% Once guys start visiting and we see how they are actually rated after their junior year, then we will see how this class may look

  • Not to mention recruiting is a fairly subjective and need-based process. Obviously you want elite recruits and having the #1 class in the nation sounds great and all, but consistent top 5/top 10 classes and developing those elite recruits into great college players will be what makes or breaks the Hoke tenure. I have a feeling he won't disappoint though.

  • I don't think a top 5 class for 2014 is misleading and bias after getting a top 5/10 class depending on which sites you looked at in 2012 and surely a top 5 finish in 2013.

    > I'll be blunt: I think you need to curb your expectations.

As some have pointed out, recruiting is fluid. Moreover, LSU is most likely to have the #1 class in 2014. It will be a LOADED year in Louisiana...the same way that Georgia was loaded for 2013.

    > Second, there is no need to have *the* #1 class in 2014 (or in any year). We simply need to have perennial top-5 classes to consistently do the following:

    - Winning the B1G Legends division + conference
    - Winning double digit games
    - Winning BCS games which will become playoff games

There's a looooong ways to go before NSD 2013. It'll be quite a while before we can be assured of a top-5 finish.

There is a shot with most of these kids....but most of the time, there are a few that are heavy leans. And I think he is leaning towards VaTech.
