1. Michigan - No explanation needed.
2. Stanford - The Farm is nice, and obviously the academics and weather are outstanding.
3. Wisconsin - Madison is an awesome environment for college
4. UCLA - Academics, weather, women.
5. Washington - Awesome campus and surrounding area, great stadium

Did you apply to Michigan?

Does U of Chicago have a team? I thought they gave it up when they left the Big Ten

No kidding but they do have the highest percentage of Noble prize winners teaching there. My doctor is there also.

1a: USC - Even harder to gain acceptance than Michigan, in an area with gorgeous weather and women, and a football program known for its success. I'm ignoring the fact that their coach is a tool here, obviously.

1b: Michigan - Elite academics, great campus, elite facilities and coaches who genuinely care about their players as students. The only minus is the weather.

3: Stanford: Elite academics, great weather and a rising football program.

4: UCLA - For all of the same reasons as USC, minus recent success. Still, academics outdo football by a mile for me; my skills can only be honed by coaching to a certain degree.

5: Florida State - I almost applied there in high school to see what kind of scholarships I could get and I regret not doing it, although I dodged listening to southerners by going to UM instead. Not terrible academically, but the weather and the rate they put out NFL players would be hard to overlook.

I wouldn't ever attend an SEC school: academics are poor all around, I can't stand southern accents and I wouldn't be able to take their "this is SEC country!" bull for more than a day. And stop with the "I could get paid in the SEC" rants, please.
