I would probably be either a Virginia, Syracuse or Princeton fan as I played LaCrosse growing up. Michigan football was what really got me into watching college football.

My uncles attended UofM and got me hooked at a young age... but i'm a Kentucky boy, so I guess if Michigan wasn't around I would have to deal w/ that debacle until basketball season came around.

I'm a UM fan because I grew up in Ann Arbor while my mom got her PhD...her second choice school was Duke, so maybe I'd just be a Duke basketball fan and not care about CFB? Or maybe I would have gone to a college with a football program if I hadn't already been a giant UM fan? Hard to know.
I also loved Miami, Stanford, and USC growing up, so maybe I'd have wound up a fan of one of them.
