Michigan has a 50% acceptance rate, while USC had a 24% acceptance rate last year...that has now dropped to 18% with USC recent switch to the common application - the same one Michigan, Stanford, Harvard, Yale...use.
Please, rather you wish to admit it or not, USC is a great school, and consistently on of the "Top 10 Dream Schools". Evidently, some are getting it out there.
