I hope Michigan can run the conference

  • I hope Michigan smokes the rest of their schedule, then you might play Bama in the NC.

Great game. You all showed a lot of character.

  • Probably not, but we will be ok.

    Poor choice of words.

I like your coach and your players. I think Michigan will be competing for national championships soon.

We'll become contenders year in and year out starting in 2014, imo.

  • The talent level at Michigan, or the whole Big Ten for that matter, is nowhere near LSU and Bama. To win national championships, you need to be at least on par with those also striving for them.

I give props to our guys for showing hearts and efforts, but, let's be honest, the opposition was on much higher level than us. They will remain so with the kind of recruiting they've been doing, and it's not stopping anytime soon.

Michigan is recruiting at that level now. Give Michigan a couple years.

  • Between the guys on this board and the Bama fans I sat with tonight, I gained a lot of respect for them. The team is incredible and yeldon is going to be absolutely unstoppable.

Definitely gained a lot of respect for Bama fans tonight, they won like a true blue blood program, with class.

I thought Saban was pretty classy tonight too. He opted to kick a couple of long fgs in spots where it would of been very easy to go for it and nobody would of really said he was running up the score.

Yeldon showed a lot tonight. That kid has some serious talent.

I can't say much. I was pissed about a few calls that would have changed momentum. But the calls had nothing to do with the outcome of the game

Great point....they were in 4 down territory several times, and opted not

I bet you hope that, that would guarantee the raising of another crystal ball for Bama!

  • I know it is somewhat cathartic to praise Bama after a tough loss. But all of us who play legitimate college football (not SEC) should know we will never be able to compete with the SEC on recruiting. Michigan will bring in what, 24 guys this year - tons of talent and top 5 class. Bama and other SEC school will take 30 and will 'send' some kids to Juco which they pick from a year or two later. So Bama will recruit 35 players this cycle. Many will not pan out and be discarded, those that can contribute will stay and the cycle will start over.

The point is that in a given 4 year cycle a school like Bama will have access to 40-50 extra players than legitimate college football teams. Those numbers produce phenomenal depth and make it virtually impossible to compete over a 12 game season.

Unfortunately for the Big. This^^^ 2 words not in Bama and Lsu' s vocabulary redshirt and walk on. Bama used 4 running backs last night, the rest of the country would have gladly taken just 1 of. Bama used freshman last night and I could not tell them from upperclassmen, our freshman look the part and usually take 1 to 2 years before having Div1/NFL bodies.
