we are playing in the same bowl game as your team did in 2009 and 2010! the only difference we actually won a championship while we are on probation, while you guys...haven't even sniffed a title in what a decade?! And yes you are on probation as well...

Funny that is your response to a fairly well reasoned argument. I would like to see an adult response to it? I'm a Buckeye fan, and do I think they were a great team? Depends on what you consider great, my gut reaction is probably not, just like the 2002 team. Has OSU had "better" teams? Yes, they have. But I would also argue that any team that can go 12-0 is great. With scholarship reductions, there is more parity between teams. And to win all your games is a pretty big deal. Only two teams did it. Having said that, I agree there were some glaring weaknesses on OSU's team, namely Braxton's throwing, the LB's and our safety play. However, we had an amazing D line, probably the best O line in the Big Ten and the country, and a great running game. I also agree that you can't go from 6-7 to a great year, but even you guys must admit thats pretty amazing? I just wish you guys had offered Harbaugh a few years back, Urb vs. Harbaugh would have been awesome. Instead, you got the Hoke, with a career win average around .500%. You'll never be better than 9-3 with him. And you haven't recruited the skill players (particularly in your 2013 class) to change that. Also, just as a clarification, "Ohio" is the team that knocked you out of the NCAA basketball tourny last year. Ohio St. is the team who beat you 9 out of the last 11 times we've matched up in football. Just wanted to help you get that straight :)
And by the way, the Neb scored 38 against OSU, not 49.
EDIT: By the way, as an OSU fan, I WANT Michigan to be good and do well. Its better for our rivalry and the conference. The Big Ten is down, and we need OSU, UM, Penn St. and Neb to perform well. We just don't have the recruiting base that the south does, and OSU and UM are probably the only two that can pull out of staters from the south by reputation alone. I'm impressed with your 2013 O-line haul, but think you haven't picked up the skill players you need to become a "great" team.

I don't think you can go from a 6-7 record one year to a great team the very next year. They were the very best team in the league, and probably will get better next year. Take the 12-0 with the sense of accomplishment, and set higher goals for next year. There is plenty of room to improve.

I've been pondering this question since the last game of the season and I apologize if it's already been mentioned here before but I want to see some honest answers here. How good was Ohio State this season honestly? I really think Ohio State is not as good as their undefeated record suggests. Ohio States non-conference schedule was Miami (OH), UCF, Cal, and UAB. They only won against Miami (OH) convincingly and both Cal and UAB had a shot late in the game. In conference play, OSU barely got by MSU, gave up 49 points against Nebraska, went into OT with Purdue, and Illinois even put up 22 points against the Buckeyes. Im just being an unbiased, honest fan here and I really didn't think OSU was anywhere near as good as an undefeated squad should be. Ohio State ended the season 36th in total defense in country, and 48th in total offense. If a few plays go the other way, OSU could have easily lost to UAB, Cal, MSU, Michigan, Purdue and Wisconsin. What's your guys honest opinion?

in 2002 osu won 6 games by less than 9 points, the same could be said for that team as well as this years team, that they just were not that good. lucky, but not that good. and yet just as in 2002 this years team found a way to win. like it or not we were unbeaten, ironically we won 6 games by 7 points or less.a great team, no, but a good team yes, a team that found a way to win.

And we would love to get that hack Biddle on a free board to respond to his article on the Big Ten coaches stock report.
Staff writers are going to pander to their fan base. If you have a problem with it, mosey on back to Bucknuts.
And OSU wasn't all that this year. Neither was Michigan. The rest of this conversation is a waste of time.

Dude You have been on this argument for like 2 years. I don't find it ridiculous for Clint to come and debate his opinion with the people who question it. If biddle started it I would hope he would as well.

i think the bucks beat nd...
imo if the schedules have been swapped;
osu loses to bama and runs the table from there...11-1 (maybe 10-2)
um still loses to osu and brasky and drops 1-2 games from @wisky,@psu and @msu...8-4 (maybe 9-3)
yes, i know you beat msu, but in east lansing would be tougher then in the big house

I thought you were a Michigan fan for a second. Having been on bucknuts you should know that you get banned for saying anything that's not pro-Ohio. At least here we let people say why Michigan has done poorly, as long as they explain why and they don't start trashing Michigan in a way that comes across as trolling. Such as saying "If If If and wait til next year are the two most common things your fan base says.."

How good was Ohio State this year?
