    Appreciated. I don't think many other B1G fans understand just how good Alabama is. We've been rolling the B1G (with the exception of today) and Alabama made us look like a peewee football team. I'm glad we played Alabama to start the year and I'm glad we've got some Alabama fans, because I want a rematch sometime, once Hoke's system and players are all in and up to full strength.

    beating up on a freshman qb? denard was getting 5 yards easily everytime he ran. we were about to score on the 5 yard line when denard got injured. you guys were done in the second half if there was no injury. even with our tired D after constant 3 and outs by our freshman, you guys still couldn't do much. we all know who the better team was

    You can win a share of the NC even if you don't play in a bowl, all you have to do is be ranked #1 in the AP poll at the end of the season. No way that's going to happen with Alabama fielding an NFL team every week but it is still possible to win it.

    No its not...how many split BCS national champions have there been in the BCS era? None, despite all the controversy over the years, and now all of a sudden the national championship will be split with a team that doesnt even qualify for a major bowl game....I DONT THINK SO. You know that crystal football that the BCS championship game winner carries around, that team wins the national championship, not a team that doesnt even play in that game. You cant hold the crystal football if you at home on the couch watching the game.

  • USC won an AP championship without going to the BCS. I know it was stripped, but it did happen. I guess football history knowledge doesn't go beyond 2004.

    What I hear is fear in these attacks on OSU.

    What I hear is fear from OSU fans posting on their rival's site.

    It's easy for a team to go all out in games when they know they don't have to worry about screwing up their chances to win a conference championship or even going to a bowl. It's a win-win for them.

    This is a good point...thanks for bringing it up. This was the one split championship in the BCS era, despite all the controversy on who should be in the BCS championship game, and other undefeated teams that did not get consideration because of the format.

    didnt auburn split one with usc i think when they had cadillac williams. my memory is fuzzy but im pretty sure there is another example of when usc won but didnt win the AP
    never mind i think that is the same game that has been mentioned already
    i think the point OSU fans are trying to make over here for some reason though is that it is still in the realm of possibilities, but its not really that likely. Oregon ND KSU and Bama would all have to lose at least one game for there to be a prayer and even then there would likely be some voters who would refuse to allow it to happen, but there is still the chance with an undefeated season and all of those unlikely variables combining for it to happen

    Urban Meyer's a paper tiger. He got lucky at UF with a bunch of talent recruited by Ron Zook and a once in a generation QB named Tim Tebow. The minute Tebow was gone, the downward slide started and Urbie suddenly got chest pains. He will survive in the B10 about as long as he did in the SEC, but he won't be winning any crystal footballs in Columbus. With the JV-level defensive staff he has cobbled together, Ohio will struggle over the next few years just to win their division.

    Woodson, as a huge Meyer fan, other than our beat down in the desert in 2007, you have to respect his record. You can't tell me Bowling Green and Utah were flukes? Also, your synopsis on Fla doesn't hold water. Muschamps upward slide is also with Meyers recruits...sorry but you can't have it both ways. As for Ohio struggling to win our division the next few years, who do you really think will beat us? I would also not call the D staff a JV staff. Good luck to you guys until you get to the shoe.

    OSU has zero chance with AP voters...the BIG is pathetic and no way they will give us that....just not happening with the SEC love fest every year.

    Blue...you are funny...I came over today to see the reaction of your verbal now taking visits, and this site has funny stuff...You say fear in OSU posting over here? Come on man, no one buys that and you know it....we have a great rivalry and I love the rivalry, but your post and theory here is very weak Hope Denard heals for the visit for the shoe.
