I think Gruden was being tacit towards the era and teams that Brady was apart of....traditional Michigan teams of yore, and how they were diametrically different then those power house Rich Rod teams.

No one projected Brady to be what he is today but he was mismanaged. Heck, it might have cost us a potential National Championship in 1999.
Moreover, if Brady would've played in a spread passing offense, he would've dominated at the collegiate level.

Gruden pushes buttons in every single QB's session to see how they'll react. He says one of the greatest QB's of all time would kick a fellow QB's ass? How is that being "put in your place"? Hate to break it to you guys, but Brady would make DRob's passing game look bad too.

Pretty sure Gruden was alluding to the fact that Cousins played weak Michigan teams. Its true too.

OK. I'll try. I fail to see how John Gruden put Kirk Cousins in his place as the youtuber said ("John Gruden puts Kirk Cousins in his place"). I also recognize that no one here actually said that (unless one of you is the youtuber), although many people have speculated on what Gruden actually meant (and those comments may have been perceived as somehow putting Cousins in his place). As such, I have no further comment.
