Gardner Granted Redshirt

Unless he has a Heisman campaign next year, I can't imagine him leaving early. I'm sure he wants to show that he can succeed in the mold of Kaepernick, and unless he's a projected high pick, I have to imagine he'd want another year of seasoning when the team around him will just be even better. We really don't graduate many superstars in the next two years (beyond Lewan) and all the current young guys will be going hard in 2014.

    HELL YES.

Man, you just keep making me more and more excited. I'm loving this D Gardner redshirt news!

Very true. I think I just get over-excited for the new recruits to come in and get some playing time. You're right though, I want Braxton to get a full 4 years in before Barrett takes over. I think the reason that thought even crossed my mind is just because I see Morris as the PERFECT fit for the offense I think (based on my complete lack of knowledge as usual lol) the Michigan staff is moving towards. But obviously Gardner is a guy with experience and much more knowledge of the offense currently.

I was just curious if any Michigan fans had had the same thought that crossed my mind. Not so much for Morris's Freshman year (I'd already assumed Gardner would be the starting QB this year), but for his 2nd year. But yeah, that's just my over-eagerness when it comes to recruiting haha. I wanted to see Noah Spence before he was probably ready last year, and I'd like to see Derrick Green immediately this year. Not the most logical way of thinking I admit!

Lastly, I think you will see Derrick Green this year and as a OS fan you will not like what you see. Morris has potential but he needs a lot of work to reach it. This may be the best thing that could happen for him. However, my real hope is that Gardner just kills it this year and has the opportunity to move on as a high draft pick...unlikely but possible. We all get over-excited...it's part of being a fan.

I think he was quoting and responding to an OSU fan

Moon...Dukeluke is an Ohio fan. When I said he won't like what he will see out of DG I meant it is only time before his nightmares start. As I'm almost never serious though I can understand your confusion over my post.
